Year 3724 where the world above had exceeded beyond anyone's expectations, Skyland had expanded in size and population. Overtime smaller islands were created for poor and lower class people and those islands hovered beneath the main land to the side. The Skylands that were inhabited by the poor were called Steam house or Waste land. Those lands appeared rusty, dark and was filled with materials that looked like giant pumps. People there had it hard as life was difficult, sometimes when a monster attacked their area none of the soldiers wanted to take the request and flogged them off. People of the Steam house were too poor to pay the expenses for protection and in the end they still needed to spend a lot of money to repair damages. The Steam house was down bad poverty, it looked tight spaced as everything was closed in; it appeared stained with rust, at the borders there were bars that was high enough to prevent anyone from falling over it, but that didn't stop many. The sun's ray could hardly reach them as the Steam houses rested below the main Skyland and as a result sunlight didn't touch everywhere.
The main part of Skyland was mainly occupied by medium and high class people, it was filled with magnificent clean and bright infrastructures, the high quality hovering transportation and the enduring sound of people, high quality machines and things that broadcasted on the TV screens. Everyone's dream was to live in the main areas of Skyland as it was much safer and in every way better. At night time it had a sight that could take breaths away, it was luminated by the building lights with a variety of colors, an aroma of lights. People from the Steam house especially the young would snuck away and would climb up to the highest buildings that they could find and watch the aromatic lights from where they were and wished that they would lived there someday.
Along with everything rested another hovering island that hovered above Skyland but not over it. It was the place of everyone's dream, the place that could solve all their problems. Simply having records that they've ventured there before would grant them easier access in life, especially when it came to finding a job. Others traveled from far and wide just to acquire the opportunity in attending there, but getting there wasn't a task everyone could accomplish and for most it would only remain an unaccomplishable dream, anyone who attended there was walking on money and had an easy life ahead.
Even though multiple islands hovered around Skyland they were all under one rulership and was of one country. Skyland's had similar structures with their minor differences, but they all had the word 'Skyland' that was placed before the country's name. There were fifteen Skylands in total and they were Gengora, Zygenden, Mezcuban, Empress Domain, Alcodor, ZN 18, B93, Alferdan, Xyin, Hangeston, Duffaldor, CT 43, Jalvedor, Valpurea and Malferden. The Skyland's didn't just float in the sky and stayed still as they also slowly moved in an orbiting fashion like the earth on its orbit. Approximately five of the Skylands provided food and those Skylands were Zygenden, Alcodor, ZN 18, Mezcuban and B93. Because of the war and countless disasters that happened centuries ago most animals went extinct and the few that they had was used to produce more. There way of doing it was to insert chemicals into the animals to force grow and breed them and then they would kill the animals and sell them. At times they would use a machine along with different procedures to create meat using a 3d printing machine and then they would insert chemicals and the certain nutrients into the meat to give it taste. To anyone who lived before Skyland would say that the meat tasted bland and had no taste, it was of complete nothingness. Chefs would comment that water tasted better, but to the people of Skyland it was exquisite and delicious, they ate things like supplement pills and drank energizing liquids. The supplement pills was said to have all the nutrients they needed. Growing plants were much harder as growing them on Skyland was almost likely impossible and so that's why it had to be done on the surface, but doing so was very dangerous. Monsters would attack the farming areas destroying it and even if they joined forces and had hundreds of soldiers the creatures still sometimes overthrew them. The monsters came from the sky, land and even underground and so they abandoned the idea of trying to grow plants. Only those who wanted the money risked their lives to grow the plants and if they managed to grow them and sold them they became instant millionaires, but that was hardly ever as most of those who left to grow plants never returned. It was a fast way to richness, but also a dangerous one.
Animals were no different as they were mostly robots that were made from whatever knowledge they had of them and for the animals that were real were one in a million. The animals were created using a core to maintain life and was made to resemble the real animals, they did a good job creating the robotic animals but no one really cared since they didn't know what the real animals were actually like and they grew up always seeing the robotic animals and to them that was their real. Skyland was a promising place as they did everything to comfort the people and all necessities were taken care of, if they needed water they would release the chemicals needed into the clouds that would cause them to swell and as a result they burst resulting with rain. The rain water was then caught and was used for any reasons they had.
The world above was a Heaven when compared to the Hellish life below, while Skyland remained prosperous and was seen in the golden light, they did things that if anyone was to look closely at their acts they would think they deserved extinction. Skyland had a way of disposing garbage that was unacceptable, any waste they had was simply thrown over the borders or they would pack their garbage in a flying ship and then dumped onto the surface, everything that was dumped was consider garbage and that included both materials and humans. The world below Skyland was indescribable, there were mountains of garbage, monsters that roamed the lands endlessly, the thick foggy air, destroyed buildings and the rumbles that slept everywhere. The world below didn't exist to the one's above, everyone below was seen as nothing but pest, outcast, animals, scums and insects, they saw them below them in every way and above that they were seen as toys especially to the one's above who went to the world below to complete their task. When they ventured below they played with those below for a way of entertainment. People below feared those who came from the above, but most of them that were below wished to be above everything else as they looked to the sky only seeing parts of it that peeped through the clouds. They wanted to become the one's they feared most. They wouldn't need to live starving or fighting over food, neither would they have to go to bed fearing it might be their last. They wanted to live among their fears, but even so living among their fears might be easier. Those who lived below Skyland were the descendants of those who didn't get to Skyland during the rise or those who couldn't afford it and those who ran away, criminals and those who were considered garbage. People below almost never received sunlight as the hovering lands above blocked the sun's rays. Finding food was also difficult, their main source was to rummage through the garbage that came from above; the same garbage that sometimes squashed the unlucky one's below, their food was a killer. Surviving another day was said to be luck, a magnificent gift, a gift of another day to walk through hell. Death came in every form, they could mistakenly fall into sink holes, becoming preys to the creatures, a victim of the Skylanders, being squashed by garbage or falling to the hands of there own. They also formed groups and gangs for better survival rate, while others stayed solo. It was fair to say that everyone below Skyland could not read as everything there was destroyed and due to it was mostly occupied by poor underrated people, they were illiterate, the ones who could read were three in a million.
