"Balance?" I repeated in a confused voice.
Solista didn't say anything as she looked around at the other gods.
With the way that they looked at each other, it was almost as if they were confirming something with each other. It was almost as if they were making sure that they could reveal this information to me.
After a while, Solista finally said, "The world can maintain itself through balance. If one side becomes greater than the other, then the world will fall out of balance and start to destroy itself. That is why there is a need for the God of Destruction even though their goal is to destroy the world."
"Then you're saying that you won't help because you're afraid of suppressing the God of Destruction too much and throwing the world out of balance?"
None of the gods said anything after I asked this.
I could even see a few of the gods turning away as if they were embarrassed to look in my direction.
