Hearing her older brother's words, Elizabeth smiled and shook her head, her golden eyes gazing toward the frolicking pet dogs in the distance.
From atop the hill, their barking carried far and wide, creating a background noise that was a bit too loud. So Elizabeth gently waved her hand, and the dogs immediately ceased their roughhousing, obediently running back to sit beside her, heads raised and tongues lolling.
Dexter was genuinely surprised by this scene. It was the first time he had seen dogs trained to be so obedient. He rarely spoke with his sister on any regular day, let alone visited her in the Western-style mansion. The only time he had come by was when he had first been allocated his private land. If not for a matter of importance this time, he probably wouldn't have found the time to come over.
