Perhaps some among those people who had been committed would have been rightfully sent, as they did have some form of mental problem, but it was not the same for those who had nothing wrong with them and had just become a part of the supernatural world.
Even if they were not an existing part of a group that had been formed, there existed many others in the country who had experienced similar things and were not so willing to forget about it all.
The main problem was that they had no power to speak up, and they did not feel that others would believe them even if they did.
All they could do during such times was to accept whatever they were given and to do as they were told; otherwise, they would come to regret going against those who wished them to go back to their ordinary lives like nothing had ever happened.
