Si Lin, although he issued the invitation, spoke with a tone hardly distinguishable from a command.
Jiang Moxi, not one to simply follow others' orders, refused.
"I'm not going. Don't you have a girlfriend? Just take her out to play, right?"
But Si Lin retorted, "A girlfriend is a girlfriend, a friend is a friend! I invited a bunch of friends to my birthday, not just you."
Seeing that Jiang Moxi hadn't changed her mind, Si Lin continued, "I'll take care of that blabbermouth Lin Meihan for you. Don't you hate owing favors? Attend my birthday and we'll call it even."
"I never asked you to do these things for me," Jiang Moxi said, striding over to her motorcycle and putting on her helmet, ready to leave.
Si Lin could only grab Jiang Moxi's motorcycle keys and said, "Jiang Moxi, I only celebrate my birthday once every four years, can't you just do me this favor? Are we not even friends?"
