A mysterious military operative, often rumored to work from the shadows, had appeared before his eyes. And instead of panicking, his mind immediately shifted to the next logical step.
"Hah... of course this would happen," he muttered under his breath.
Anyone could be an enemy. But based on instinct alone, the woman, Lisa—didn't feel like a threat. Maybe that was a reckless conclusion. Still, he was always prepared, should things escalate into violence.
After several minutes drowning in thought, he decided to leave the room. But just as he reached for the door, his eyes locked once again with hers. Lisa stood at a distance, watching him closely.
"Huh. Whatever. You can keep watching me all you want," Zeyn murmured as he turned to walk away. "It's not like I plan on causing trouble anyway."
