To Zhou Fan, the most surprising thing about the man was the fact that he was still following the path of Cultivation. Usually, someone with such a strong personality would make their own path. Even if he didn't, his personality was many times more suitable with the path of Slaughter created by the Demon King.
However, there were countless types of cultivators, some of them even more evil and bloodthirsty than him. The only difference was the lack of talent they had.
The man gained a title rather quickly as he soon advanced to the High Sage realm.
He was known widely as the Prince of Massacre.
As for why he was a prince, it was only because he was a High Sage, which in this time, was not quite at the top of the Universe. He would have to become an Immortal to earn the title of King. This was a vast difference compared to how it was in the past.
A Sage Year passed, and the Prince of Massacre welcomed his Immortal tribulation.
A Sage Year may seem like a long time to become an Immortal compared to how fast he had risen, but how many cultivators had become Immortals?
He was the fifth. The rest were all Path Creators. In just one Sage Year, he had done what countless humans had failed to do in over a hundred Sage Years.
He was now the King of Massacre, and although he still had his Divine Physique, it did not work as well with the Path Creators and the other Immortal Cultivators. They were by no means ordinary beings.
Of course, it still had a bit of an effect since the King of Massacre was now a False Immortal himself, but to these unimaginable talents, it was just a bit of dislike.
Due to this, the King of Massacre still traveled alone on a boat made of bones. Only his artifact spirit followed him.
Many others moved on from thinking about the King of Massacre, the rising genius. To countless beings, and even to the Path Creators, the False Immortal realm would be his limit for many Sage Years. Even if he did continue to grow, nobody believed that he would ever go past the Loose Immortal realm.
He was just a cultivator. How could he possibly be as talented as a Path Creator?
Yet Zhou Fan could see something different. The King of Massacre didn't have the slightest intention of letting up. His mentality alone was more valuable than any talent. In his mind, he had not reached the end. To him, not a single thing had changed besides his strength.
The King of Massacre was no idiot, and he knew exactly how people thought of him now that he had become a False Immortal.
"For so long, we have set sail under the watchful gazes of many. Now, their gazes have drifted. Isn't it great?"
The artifact spirit nodded with a smile. "In this time period, the artifact won't be that much help to you now."
Despite saying that, her smile never once faded. Although her memories started with the King of Massacre, she had a lofty arrogance ingrained in her being. It came from her being the artifact spirit of an unimaginable item, the likes of which had not existed in this Universe before the appearance of the tent.
Yet, she had grown to truly admire this man from the bottom of her heart.
He had no room for doubt. He only looked ahead, never once looking back. He was surely unique throughout Heaven and Earth.
Even Zhou Fan, who had treated him dismissively, could no longer do so. He saw the shadow of Yao Mun in this young cultivator, just even better. He wouldn't be surprised if he accompanied him for multiple Eras. Just as Yao Mun had.
The description of an Era was naturally far different back then, but if Yao Mun had been born in this time period, he was sure that his accomplishments would be even greater.
Still, all of this would take time.
And time was still not on their side.
Zhou Fan turned his attention away from the King of Massacre and focused on a cloud of time.
Fluctuations were appearing from it.
Then he looked over. At another cloud of time, another fluctuation was appearing.
Then another, and another, and another.
Soon, all of the clouds of time were giving off fluctuations.
Zhou Fan raised his hand out and pressed down. Countless threads appeared and shot outside of the Origin Civilization.
Every single being outside of it saw a thread appear near them.
It connected to them and subtly drew them to the Origin Civilization. Naturally, nobody resisted. Only one being could display such power, and he would not have any bad intentions towards them.
Soon, all living beings were brought back to the Origin Civilization. Zhou Fan appeared on top of the Origin Civilization. Around him, a few beings appeared.
"I am prepared to fight." Ye Li said.
The God of Death repeated his words.
Besides Zhou Fan, they were the strongest beings in the Universe.
But as Zhou Fan looked around the Universe, his eyes grew serious, cold, and eventually indifferent. "This is not a battle you can participate in."
They were surprised by his words, and shocked at his change in demeanor.
"But I would like to make a request." He said. "May I borrow your Rules?"
He asked this question to all of the strongest Path Creators.
They looked at him in absolute seriousness. "Is it that bad?"
Zhou Fan nodded. "Multiple Celestial Emperors. They are trying to destroy the Origin Era, and this is people from both sides. I'm sure some of your future selves are involved."
His words shocked everyone once again. But eventually, they all nodded.
"It seems even our future selves are our current selves enemy." Ye Li and the God of Death laughed.
To everyone's surprise, they were the first to offer up their Rules. Naturally, it wasn't truly giving them up, just temporarily allowing control. It would be much weaker than when they used them, but as Mastered Rules, Zhou Fan's boost in strength would be unimaginable.
