'Twit?'
The little one, Bella, chirped, her head tilted.
"…"
I sighed and lowered my hand to my lap and patted her head.
What am I doing?
It's more productive to pray in Bellona's temple than ask a bird to deliver a message.
"My liege." Trixie appeared without a sound, as if materializing from thin air. When I raised my head, she was already kneeling on one knee, a grim mist in her eyes.
It seems like my intuition was right.
I put Bella down beside Sienna, with a tap, I whispered, "Watch over your Ma for me." Then, I stood up, signalling Trixie to come out of the room with me.
'Twit…'
I couldn't but take one last glance at Sienna– laying peacefully in bed while Bella worriedly danced on her side– before closing the door with a soft thud.
"Report."
Trixie nodded her head once before stating with a low voice, "As my liege ordered, I travelled to the Gendia Viscounty where Miyerko's Farshien tree is erected."
Trixie bit her lips.
