Chapter 15 - Chapter 14

Besides that, they couldn't possibly send their brethrens to their deaths, regardless of how lucrative and illustrious an achievement it was.

Likewise, with their lack of information, such land shifts occur for a reason. Caused by these strange creatures entering the world of Myrrhh. Thus, in every sudden land movements, foretells a sign of their forced entry

An existence of a common threat pushed these monarchs to make laws that would grant equal opportunities of work and education to all of their citizens.

Out of spite for these absurd laws, many aristocrats or those that possessed great wealth lived in defiance, as they were accustomed to the practices among those with power and influence.

Consequently bearing hate, resulting in some of them to pride themselves and thus carried out secret meetings, agreeing to blind side the common folk.

'4 years from now..' Pinching his belly, seeing the elasticity of it after being pulled. 'I would lose a fight from another kid of my size, eight times out of ten.' Holding a frown before letting go.

Both pairs of limbs were no better compared to his past, flexing those arms for a good look- just to see the bare minimum being done.

After walking on a gradual slope of land, making a detour on a divulging path. On his left view, was a wide stretch of land below.

Feeling a hand on his head, "Very huge, is it? They said it's about sixty, some insist on somewhere close- about a hundred or so." Patting my shoulder, early as we were. "I'd say- whatever, just let me work." Smiling at me after saying that.

The heat of the morning sun was no mere joke, blazing down and making us sweat. Even Eliam was unwilling to work through this condition, especially in the afternoon.

Quietly noticing his son's uneven breath, Eliam couldn't help but think, 'Maybe bringing Elias was a bad idea..' Fortunately for them, there were bushes and trees that provided some shade.

Switching his gaze up the sky, squinting it and upon seeing a portion of it cloudy, 'Rain should come next.. it has to be.'

A single bead of sweat, slowly trickling down that broad forehead, "Pa, should we take a break for a while?" I said, scanning my eyes around for a good spot and landing them on an oak tree.

'Sure hope my memory is right. Truth be told, I do feel like I need a break.' Thinking about it before bringing his head to nod, "Call for me if you need something, alright?" Bobbing that head, together with a reassuring voice, "Okay, Pa."

Turning around, running my legs quickly to that perfect spot. Sitting down the dusty dirt and having my left leg above the right.

Relieving one of those precious memories of his, made Elias sigh. 'Though I am still in disbelief, I must give it my all.' sitting down the dusty dirt, while placing his left leg above the other. Inhaling air as big as Elias could through his nose, inflating that chest before releasing it.

Even after noticing his son's oddness, Eliam simply let it be. Grabbing himself a wooden tool before heading out towards the plantation. 'A way to increase my strength, what did that guy say again?' Repeating the same thing- now having done it a fifth time, 'I have to figure it out by myself..!'

Although Elias didn't remember all of the small details about the future, still, he knew some that were vital. 'Becoming one with nature.. lacking any sense, but what can I do when gods do exist?'

The seventh breath, feeling like my chest being emptied out- tasting the air on my throat. Eighth.. now having a blurred perception, so I closed my eyes then. Tenth breath.. just focusing all my attention on it, beginning to fall into a delusion after seeing tiny glitters- cylindrical or perhaps circular in shapes.

A new world within his mind, same with a manifested wind which resembled the bluish color of the sky. Merely moments may have passed during this time, as countless shapes- now uncertain of its true form, changing from a ball into a slight oval point.

Bouncing up and down, swallowing my throat once, deciding to ignore them completely while creasing my brows jointly. 'Twelfth.. Fourteenth, what?' Swindling my senses again, something cold and warm at the same time. A slip of thought, 'Just a little bit closer- right, I remember they used to refer to something close as inches away.'

'Easy peasy, lemon- shut up.' A dark round thing, much smaller and pure. Flowing so smoothly towards Elias, enough to make his eyes open up and see nothing but an abyss. Peering around with no success, "W-What? W-Where is this place? Did I.." Dread, clawing its way inside before washing away in an instant- now replaced with an unrelenting sorrow.

"Here I was, thinking about how things would be better.. yet nothing more than a dream." Utterly nothing, except himself.

Eyes forward, aimlessly moving by- a wishful hope, something or somewhat that could break this perceivable hell. Light at the end of the tunnel, no- more like crashing himself on an immovable figure. Translucent, sitting in a criss-crossed position, much like Elias earlier.

Perhaps asleep, unknowing or unconcerned, the once utterly Nothing began to accumulate at the Figure's feet. Enveloping him, as it worked its way up to his head. Huffing out a breath after realizing a sudden shift of its attention- now raging high up against Elias like a tidal wave.

Unable to run, "N-No! Not like this..!" Spiraling up, consumed. Quivering in the dirt, now awoke- hearing those birds of the air singing happily in the field after being pulled through layers of fabric by an unstoppable force. Looking at his right and left view, all while breathing unsteadily before glancing at his tingling hands, gently bringing them to contract.

Feeling relief upon seeing it still functionable, 'I hate this feeling of helplessness.. And how can someone like me even achieve it..' Calm, but full of turmoil on the inside. Breathing a sigh, not even bothered to wipe the sweat that trickled down that forehead.

Slowly moving that right hand to his chest, perceiving his lively heart before peering out towards the fields, where Elias could see a familiar man. Raising a long-handled tool before bringing it to pierce the soil.

All those negative thoughts were instantly washed away, rekindling the desire of success- motivated enough to wipe the sweat on his face using his upper sleeve. Each landing of his tool made him puff out the air on his lungs, continuing to make loose of the land. Moving from one side after finishing the other, he couldn't help but glance at his son, who could be seen waving at his direction- Eliam knew that Elias did that for him to see.

His reaction? A quick release of air through his nose before scratching the back of his head using that right shoulder. A strength that made Eliam finish a quarter of his quota for the day, but when he was about to move towards the next area, he noticed Elias coming from his side view.

Stopping at the right time, just for Elias to say, "Pa, can I do that?" Toppled with the sun's heat, growing impatient enough that Eliam was unable to bring himself to think as he only presented both of his soiled hands, while trying to dust it away but couldn't before ultimately giving up. "Why not? Here, try it for yourself but do be careful about it."

Grasping the tool's hilt, Elias huffed out a breath upon the familiarity it brought him that he couldn't contain himself from immediately raising the gardening tool in the air before quickly striking the dry soil. It truly was taxing to do this job despite being so simple, raising its head and striking not only the dirt but also the stones about half the size of Elias's hand.

Which kept getting in the way, nonetheless, he was somewhat able to perform the same as his father- even better by each moment. Pre-occupied by the momentary feeling, Elias was not able to see just how much of a feat he was displaying in front of his father.

'If I cannot gather Qi at this very moment, then I must surely do something to make up for my weak strength..' Elias gritted his teeth, unceasing no matter how much strain it took. Every lift was getting heavier, but he constantly motivated himself in each one by remembering his past life. 'Do you wanna live that life again, huh?!'

Hearing Elias mumble, yet his father didn't pry on what they were. "Tsik. Tsik. Tsik." Eliam witnessed his son being so driven, a side so unique that Eliam had no words to say. 'What happened for you to be so motivated?' but he was also aware of something else.

'Murder.. my loving parents.. with my own hands?!' Finally letting it go as the intense pain from both of his arms became his limit. Elias fell on his back, which Eliam had predicted and caught him just in time. Simply staring at the clouded sky, while grateful at the presence of his father.
