Fifteen days later, on the barren Gobi Beach, the treads of the Unicorne moved swiftly as the crew members worked at their posts.
They were now located in the Gobi Beach that lay beyond the previous desert, an uncharted territory, but with the Unicorne, they could travel even further.
Sailor Norden held the steering wheel under the first mate's guidance, while a gaunt, balding old man stood beside him. He was the new Second Officer, hailing from Hope Island, a seasoned captain well acquainted with the ropes.
A streak of black whooshed by the side of the ship and turned into a man in a black cloak at the cockpit entrance.
"Nothing unusual or fruitful on the left," Audric reported to the inside of the bandage.
The bandage nodded silently and quickly scribbled a dashed line on the map on the wall.
"Captain hasn't returned, has he?" Audric groped his way into the cockpit.
"No, the Governor said we should check a few more places," the Second Officer said casually.
