Deep looked at his palm with webbed fingers, and said with a serious expression, "This voyage, my abilities won't be of much help to the Captain. I want to enhance my abilities."
"Is it really necessary? We've already found the exit to Earth's surface. We might not even need to go to sea in the future."
Deep's face showed disdain, "Of course it's necessary. I've heard the Captain say that there are billions of people on Earth's surface. What if we go up there and have to fight for territory like in Earth Sea? What if the people from Earth's surface come down to snatch our island??"
