Chapter 129 - Chapter 119

The warehouse was damp and cold, hidden on the outskirts of the city where no one dared to venture after dark. Crates were stacked high along the walls, the air heavy with dust and secrets. A single bulb flickered overhead, casting long, jagged shadows that danced ominously across the concrete floor.

Ace stood by a rusted steel table, tapping his fingers impatiently. His wound had mostly healed, but the stiffness in his shoulder still throbbed with each pulse. Amber stood a few feet away, arms folded, her dark eyes scanning the entrance every few seconds.

"She's late," Amber muttered, annoyed. "Typical."

"Let her be," Ace replied, a strange edge to his voice. "She's been in hiding since the explosion. Getting out unnoticed takes time."

Amber rolled her eyes, but said nothing.

Just then, the heavy steel door creaked open.

A figure stepped inside, her silhouette framed by the dim glow of the moonlight. Lisa.
