Staring at Suzuka, Ilus laughs, but as she doesn't return his laugh, he says, "You're not joking?"
With a bright smile, Suzuka says, "Of course not, now let's get started. Don't worry, we'll join you. Right, guys."
"HUH!?"
-Break-
As Suzuka stares up at the sky, wiping sweat off her forehead with a triumphant smile, she turns around and says, "Now let's get started!"
"NOO!" Willow, Maple, and Iancu scream back at her, while they lie on the floor.
"What, why? We need to keep going so we can motivate Ilus."
Iancu gasping for air, Iancu says, "It's too late for that, Ilus is already dead."
Suzuka turns her head to Ilus, whose soul is slowly but clearly leaving his body as he sits down on a bench near them. Suzuka says, "NO!"
And then rush over trying to grab his soul, but then it turns into a green plop and says, "BOO!"
Suzuka instantly punches the ghost away and says, "Try again, spirit!"
As she prepared to strike it again, a little girl came up and picks it up, saying, "It isn't nice to scare people, brother."
Her cursed brother nods his head, and they both go on their ways, and Ilus says, "You're plan sucks."
Suzuka reels back in shock, and Willow, walking over, puts his hand on her shoulder, and says, "Just leave it to me guys, I have a wonderful idea on how to handle this."
-Willow's plan-
Slamming a book in front of Ilus, Willow says, "What are the cutest things in the world?"
"Woman."
"WRONG IT'S ANIMALS! If one understands the most amazing beings to ever exist, they by nature, will become the same as them, don't you agree!"
Ilus says, "I do think I have heard of woman talking about their favourite pets before."
"Exactly, the way into a woman's heart is true pets, so let's get started by remembering all of the details of the animals in Blestemate?"
Ilus feels frightened and says, "Isn't that a good bit of work?"
"So what if it is? It's animals! Every moment learning about them is priceless gold in my eyes! Now let's get started."
Name: The behemoth of Blestemate Balaur
Height: Undefined
Type: Wonderbest, Omnivore.
Description: A giant skeletal beast with no definite shape, but many have said it's reminiscent of an octopus. It is the Behemoth wonderbeasts of the region known as Blestemate and stretches across the entire city, creating barriers, platforms, and roads for wonderbeasts to travel all through the air, and around Căderea-dracului.
It gains nutrients by absorbing the marrow of the bones of any being that comes into contact with it, and by doing such a thing, it is able to regrow the former flesh used by the being over its own bones. By doing this, it allows the constant recycling of cursed parts from both humans and animals. Allowing it, in theory, to use the curses of anyone. Though in practice it makes the parts of the skeleton near the blue church change into an amalgamation of deep-sea creatures, the parts near the green church change into a fleshy yet ornate tree, and the parts near the white church turn into bird feathers. The Balaur aerial platforms It is split into three levels, many of which contain some of the most beautiful and largest buildings within the city, including the home of the queen herself.
Fact: The Balaur is extremely shy, so many of these behemoths born into nature are killed before they ever get a chance to grow from starvation. It is said that the current Balaur was raised by a human girl, allowing it to become the first known Behemoth of its kind.
Name: Solomonar
Height: 400 cm
Type: Wonderbeast, Herbivore
Description: A white, thick, six-legged lizard-like wonderbeast. It has sticky feet, which allow it to traverse any surface, along with a small gravity field around its body, allowing it to keep objects stuck to it even when walking on horizontal planes.
Fact: They are very derpy animals which have very little sense of danger, so they are cared for by humans, which allows them to thrive. They are also one of the only animals not naturally found in Blestemate; the majority were imported.
Name: The cursed Sumpurnis of Blestemate
Height: 1000 cm
Type: Cursed wonderbeast, Carnivore
Description: A large humanoid wonderbeast with a dog's head and a fat belly, that has bright red fur and fearsome green eyes. The claws in its hands are sharp and allow it to rip buildings apart in a single slice. It is cursed, which is a curse that makes some of its body indistinguishable from a tree, making some of its fur and skin have a similar texture. It can divert its own nutrients to the tree, allowing it to grow and manipulate its shape however it wishes.
Fact: It is an incredibly grumpy wonderbeast that has no issues killing humans or animals at its slightest annoyance. Though the singing of the Cursed Land choir is known to calm it down and make it far more amicable.
Name: Cursed bat of Blestemate
Height: 2000 cm
Type: Cursed beast, Herbivore
Description: A wonderbeast with a devilish red skin with light purple fur throughout its body. Its flesh is mutated and cursed into looking like a red imp, with its ears resembling fiendish horns. Outside of that, it is a normal bat with the curse of weightlessness, which allows them to carry packages long distances across all of Blestemate.
Fact: They are known as the national animal of Blestemate, due to the queen's love of them, and are the most protected species within Blestemate.
-Break-
Willow, holding the book in front of him, says, "Oh, it says here that most of the non-cursed forms of your fauna are almost extinct? Is it because most of the species native to the beast claw were cursed with the rest of you? How sad! But wait, it says here that almost all cursed beasts known to man come from Blestemate?"
Suzuka, beside Willow, says, "Wouldn't that mean those animals from Jedidah are originally from Blestemate?"
"It would, wouldn't it! But couldn't that logic also apply to the cursed yígantísoma in Nialathrú? According to what Orb has said, no cursed beasts were in the beastkins land prior to this?"
Iancu, clapping his hand, says, "I think you should focus on the task at hand."
Willow turns to Ilus, and he says, "Oh no," as he sees Ilus eyes spinning.
"Pink fur, four eyes, three wings, found in the eastern region, omnivore, likes to play with huma-, no, it likes to toy with humans, soft fur, sharp talons, hunt in packs, monogamous, males give birth, descended from th-, ARGH! I CAN'T REMEMBER!"
"I think I might have overloaded his brain with information."
Iancu sighs and says, "It's like none of you people know what moderation is."
He puts his hands on his head and says, "I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!"
Getting up, Ilus starts to run away, and the four of them quickly follow after him. With Maple shouting, "PLEASE WAIT UP!"
-Break-
Sitting on his bed, Ilus stuffs his mouth as the oil drips from his body, splashing everywhere it can reach, and as it does, he says, "I will be forever alone, though at the least the food of my people will calm my lonely heart for the rest of time."
Iancu, Maple, and Willow stand back from him, holding their noses, and Suzuka says, "Come on, don't give up yet!"
"Of course I am going to give up! Didn't you see my performance? I can't do anything like that."
Iancu says, "Don't go comparing yourself to these idiots, it's a pointless endeavour."
"IT'S NOT THAT! The fact that you kids can even do stuff like that at you're age is amazing, and despite being twice as old as all of you, I don't have anything I am nearly as good at as you. I am just an old embarrassment. My life stinks way more than my body."
"Stop being dramatic, if you want to turn you're life around, just get up and work."
"It's easy for someone anathemized like you to say that. You've probably never struggled a day in you're life due to your human bloo-,"
Before his words can fully leave his mouth, Willow punches Ilus in the face.
Ilus, holding his face on the ground, says, "What was that for?"
Glaring at him, Willow says, "You have no idea the suffering Iancu has experienced in his life? Do you think just because he doesn't allow it to dictate every moment of his life that you are somehow suffering more than him?"
Grabbing Ilus by the collar, Willow fights through the smell and says, "Sometimes those who smile the brightest are hurting the most, and if you think you're pain allows you to belittle theirs, I will smack some sense into you any day of the week, you got that!"
Ilus nods his head, and Willow drops him. Then he says, "Now get back up, we're not done yet."
"You guys still want to help me?"
Smiling Willow says, "Of course. The whole point of disagreements is to be good after they happen, so let's all get along now and get you a wife."
Standing up with more passion than before, Ilus says, "You're right! Let's get this done, and power through till the end!"
"YEAH!" Willow, Maple, and Suzuka shout.
Sighing, Iancu says, "This is going to be my whole day."
-Break-
Location: Cursed Sky District of Căderea-dracului
ΦWalking behind Avram, Orb's hair colours change again and again like a prism being struck by light and under his breath, he says, "What am I going to say, what am I going to wear? What if I embarrassed myself? What am I going to say to his wife and his daughter? Will they like me? I should be around the same age as his daughter. Could we be friends? Maybe it would be better if I just run away, yeah, running far away will be a good idea."
Turning around, Avram walks backwards and starts clicking his fingers in front of Orb's face, but no matter what happens, Orb remains captured by his own mind.
To the left of them, a man painting a building tricks, and falls back, which causes him to let out a giant scream, but before his fall can even catch the attention of the people walking through the street, he finds himself back on the rooftop.
Walking back to Avram, Orb continues to say, "What am I going to do, what am I going to do?"
"How does you're brain even function?" Avram says.
Orb continues to walk forward in a straight line right into Avram's stomach, causing him to smile and then say, "Hey Dragoste, looking good."
Orb's hair turns yellow, and he quickly turns around, scanning the area, then looking at Avram, he slams his head into his stomach, and says, "That isn't funny!"
"It's actually is funny for me," Avram says while holding his stomach in pain.
"Don't you see I am worried about this!"
"I do, but worrying about things won't change anything. Besides, if you start paying attention, I might drop you some hints on how to talk to Dragoste."
"Really?" Orb says with bright green hair.
"I am a man of my word, but first things first, you need to follow me. We're almost there."
-Break-
Φ In front of me, Avram opens a door and walks in, and following behind him, I enter a room without light, covered in countless cobwebs everywhere.
"I thought Dragoste would at least keep this place cleaned for me?"
