His gaze met Zion's through the invisible barrier that separated them, the only thing preventing the open war.
"Aren't you afraid I'll seize this opportunity to annihilate you completely?"
Zion shook his head and responded with a sudden, thunderous punch against the barrier, the impact crackling through the air.
"With this barrier, it's unlikely you'll do anything of the sort," he replied coolly. "If you truly intended to kill me, you would have struck the moment your fleet emerged from the rift."
Emperor Bisca fell silent...
Zion noted every subtle shift in Bisca's expression and said, "Just as I suspected… you can't leave your nest until your forces are fully assembled and prepared, and stepping out now would mean surrendering the protection of the barrier."
