It pierced through the distant horizon, splitting the clouds and slamming into the ground with a force so immense it made the very earth quake beneath their feet.
People throughout the camp stumbled, gasping, their gazes fixated on the sky in terror. The tremors reverberated through the soil beneath their feet, making everyone instinctively brace themselves. Even from miles away, the power radiating from that mysterious beam of light felt oppressively strong, terrifyingly foreign, and ominous.
