Hiroshi held the phone tightly as he waited for the man he was calling to pick up the call. It was almost lunchtime and he went to visit Aki. He felt a sudden urge to call the man when it occurred to him that it was most likely almost time for Haruki to sleep.
Haruki seemed to be having fun speaking with him the laughter evident in his voice all the teasing as though he wanted him to apologise over and over for what he had done.
The doctor felt like he deserved it. Maybe even deserved a lot more than the man was making go through. Haruki was having fun with the conversation and it gave him a sense of relief.
Through the noise, he had been able to sleep through the night even until late morning the next day simply after speaking to Haruki and he was too in love with the man to feel they were not related.
