Aphrodite sat in her chair gazing into her mirror as two of her assistants combed her long gorgeous blonde hair.
"Hurry up girls. Ares will be here any minute for our date." Aphrodite said gleefully.
"Wait but goddess aren't you married to the ugly one?" Questioned one of the servants
Aphrodite's cheerful look changed after hearing that.
"Angel?" She asked
"Yes goddess?" The servant replied
"Do you like my shoes?"
The Goddess gestured at her 8 inch stripper heels.
"Oh why yes Goddess. They're very nice." Angel replied.
"Would you like to be under them?" Aphrodite shot back.
The demeanor of the servant girl changed. Her heart sank into her stomach and sweat began to rush down her head.
"No Goddess. My apologies, I meant no offense." Angel said.
Aphrodite's tone changed again, this time it reverted back to her previous gleeful state.
"Good, you're lucky I'm in a good mood, otherwise you'd be a stain right now." The Goddess said gleefully.
They heard the ringing of the doorbell. Aphrodite jumped up in euphoria.
"Ares is here." She sang in a high pitched voice.
She went to open the door and upon opening it she was met with Ares. A seven foot tall, muscular olive skinned man.
"Ah, Ares you made it. Where are we going for our date?" She asked.
The towering figure walked into the temple and grabbed Aphrodite's hand and they both walked to the bedroom.
"Oh straight to the bedroom. Okay." Aphrodite said.
They walked into the bedroom and Ares locked the door. He picked her up and tossed her onto the bed.
"Hey!" Aphrodite shouted.
Ares just looked down on her silently.
"Ares what is with you today?" She asked.
He just stood over here silently. She could feel an aggressive vibe coming off of Ares.
"Well?" She asked
He just began laughing maniacally.
Aphrodite looked at him and her heart sank. She could feel that this thing in front of her was indeed not Ares.
"You fool, how could you have fallen for this cheap trick." The figure said.
"What do you mean?" She questioned.
The creature slowly took form and changed from Ares to some else entirely.
"Hey, you look familiar. Who are you?" Aphrodite interrogated.
"You don't recognize me? I'm Insectos, the god of bugs, remember." He said.
Aphrodite gasped, her mind raced as she went through a flurry of emotions.
"How are you here? You were a stain on my shoe the last time I saw you. You-"
Insectos smacked Aphrodite and she fell to the floor.
"Quiet!" He said.
"How dare a minor god like you smack an Olympian. You'll pay for that." Aphrodite shot back.
She jumped up and tried to attack him, but he instantly overpowered her.
"You're no match, lady." He said.
He tossed her to the ground. He picked her in the face and spat on her.
"Revenge is so much fun. This is fun!"
He boasted.
"You'll die." She said while on the ground.
"Let's give you a taste of your own medicine."
"Wait- No."
He pointed his finger at her and in an instant she was the size of the average housefly.
"You can't crush me, I'm an Olympian." She cried.
"Don't like it huh." He replied.
He then slammed his foot down on top of her and began to twist. Aphrodite was squeezed against the ground, the most excruciating pain she had ever felt. Him twisting rubbed her skin so badly it began to leave friction marks. He lifted his foot and then repeatedly slammed it down on top of her. With each blow Aphrodite was twisted and mangled beneath him. Her teeth bashed out, one eye popping out of its socket, her bode obliterated, all her bones were broken and blood was leaking from every orifice.
"You won't get away with this. Not on Valentine's day, on my day." She said,
He then did three more rapid stomps and then slid his foot back while it was on top of her. He looked down on the floor to notice a red streak and nothing left on the flood.
"Hahaha! I did it! I got my revenge, take that Aphrodite!" Cheered Insectos.
Just then the bedroom door busted open and a nice looking blonde lady wearing a yellow dress and brown wedges barged in.
"You're done for!" The lady shouted.
"Who are you?" Insectos asked.
"Oh you're one of Aphrodite's followers. Ha, feast your eyes and her liquid remains." Insectos mocked as he lifted his foot up into the lady's view.
"You don't recognize my spirit?" The lady said.
"What?"
"You destroyed my body, but I astral projected my spirit into the body of one of my followers. Insectos, I'm still Aphrodite, and I'm ready to smash you for good like the insect you are."
"We'll see."
Both of them pointed their fingers at each other but since Aphrodite was an Olympian her powers were stronger. Insectos shrunk down to the size of a wasp.
"No! This can't be happening. I won."
He said in an absolute rage.
"You won alright. You won a nice spot on the bottom of my shoe." Aphrodite mocked.
She then stomped on him, smashing him into the ground before kicking him out of the room into the temple lobby. The dozens of servants looked at the tiny man in the room.
"Don't just stand there, squish him!" She shouted.
In an instant Insectos who was badly wounded by the first stomp was rushed by a crowd of attractive young women ready to smash the life out of him. Their footwear ranged from being barefoot to flats to platform sandals and flip flops.
"I'll teach you. Bug boy." One girl said
"Eat my feet." Another added
"Die." A third chimed in
"Goodbye you little brat." A fourth girl commented.
She then changed her appearance into the regular Aphrodite. She waited a moment or two before going over to the crowd and making her way through. By the time she got to the center there was nothing left but a lifeless red smear. A smug smile appeared on her face and she spit on the red spot. She placed her foot on the spot and began to twist. The spit washed away the red stain permanently.
"And that's the end of a total loser." She mocked.
Aphrodite then heard the doorbell ring. She went to open it and saw it was Ares.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"Yes, let's go." She said, They both then walked out of the temple and into the night.
