Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: What Happened?

Wen Ran is facing a life-and-death situation.

In front of her is a Demon, lying on the ground clearly heavily injured, yet still laughing arrogantly and wantonly, covered in blood, utterly wretched.

It seemed as if the person threatened by the sword point, whose life was in danger, was not him at all.

He glared viciously at the young Immortal Monarch holding the sword, "I heard that these two ladies, one is your fiancée, and the other is your fiancée's cousin, you're the kind-hearted eldest disciple of the Ascension Immortal Mansion, who will you choose to save?"

The white-clothed young Immortal Monarch stood tall and jade-like, the wind at the edge of the cliff was strong, his clothes fluttering, outlining his slender figure.

Wen Ran, unable to move, glanced with the corner of her eye at the other girl beside her, thinking to herself, deserves to be the female protagonist, facing life and death with such calmness, unlike her, who was nervous to death!

The situation started an hour ago.

Wen Ran and her cousin Qin Susu were both captured by this Demon and taken above Giant Abyss Valley, where he cast a malicious "you live, I die" curse on them. Literally, it meant only one of them could survive.

Only by throwing one of the cursed into the Giant Abyss Valley to sacrifice to the evil demons could the other be freed; this was a death curse.

Besides this method, only the voluntary removal of the magic by the caster could break it, otherwise, there was no other way.

Not long after, a young man descended from the sky, with just one move, he injured the Demon who had been tracked by the Immortals Mansion with no escape, leaving him barely alive.

This young Immortal Monarch appeared to be seventeen or eighteen years old, with handsome features, overly fair skin, and black hair tied into a ponytail with a white hairband, the ends reaching his waist, fluttering slightly in the wind.

His extremely dark eyes looked faintly at the Demon on the ground, exuding a sense of sharpness and innate nobility.

At this moment, Wen Ran couldn't help but murmur in her heart, worthy of the male protagonist, remaining unfazed even if Mount Tai collapsed in front of him.

Yes, after living in this world for sixteen years, she suddenly remembered she had transmigrated into a novel titled "After My Death, the Young Immortal Monarch Cried and Said He Loves Me", a chasing-wife crematorium story.

The male protagonist is a once-in-a-millennium genius in immortal cultivation, the future of his sect, and with good looks to add, many women admired him, yet he never felt his heart stir.

Until one day, he suddenly proposed the idea of becoming a Dao companion with his master's daughter.

This person was Wen Ran, although she had no talent in cultivation, she was pretty, with a delicate appearance that evoked pity.

In modern terms, she had a typical white lotus temperament, her exterior as pure as her heart was poisonous as a scorpion.

The reason the male protagonist wanted to marry her was not without reason, during a battle with the Demon Clan, he was severely injured.

While unconscious, he felt the care of someone tender and thoughtful, which is why, after only having the thought of cultivating Dao, he suddenly felt moved.

But he didn't know he had made a mistake, the person who took care of him was actually Qin Susu, not Wen Ran.

Qin Susu's status wasn't as esteemed as Wen Ran's in the Immortals Mansion, but like many young girls in love, she admired the male protagonist secretly, contributing much to him behind the scenes, only to have her credit stolen by her cousin.

It's not that she never felt resentment, every time she saw the person she liked tenderly entangled with another woman, her heart would ache.

And now, Qin Susu silently watched the white-clothed young man, as if waiting for a judgment from fate.

Wen Ran and Qin Susu were both under the spell, unable to speak, Wen Ran was overwhelmingly anxious, her tragic ending in the plot had played out in her mind thousands of times!

Why did she have to remember this plot at this time?

She felt her little heart couldn't take it!

The Demon became increasingly arrogant, wiping the blood off his face, he laughed sarcastically, "So this is you righteous gentlemen, unable to bear seeing an innocent person sacrifice!"

Indeed, for a cultivator raised with the orthodox education of the Immortal Sect, they couldn't stand by and watch any innocent person die, let alone have the choice placed in their own hands.

This was exactly the Demon's intention.

What Ascension Immortal Mansion's elder brother?

Wasn't he meant to save the world?

If he chose to have his fiancée survive, it would be only human nature, nobody could really blame him for it.
