"Mr. Jack, it's really you!"
Lucy didn't seem too surprised, but her face was full of joy.
She couldn't help but take two steps forward but managed to curb her excitement in time, stopping in her tracks. Only her fervent gaze remained fixed on the gentleman with the black hat from beginning to end.
Just as Lucy was about to speak again, she suddenly noticed the girl beside her, Asoka, trembling all over, exhibiting an extremely abnormal state.
She turned her head and found the little girl as pale as a sheet, looking at Mr. Jack with terrified eyes, mumbling:
"De... demon..."
Lucy was a little surprised. She didn't understand why Asoka seemed so scared, as if she had known Mr. Jack before.
Polaris and Sunny Xiaoyu, standing nearby, exchanged bewildered glances. From the current situation, it seemed both new students knew Mr. Jack, but their reactions were entirely different.
One was overjoyed, the other terrified.
It had an oddly surreal feeling.
