Chapter 252 - Zoro Versus The Agent Part 2

Bang!

Zoro and the Agent dashed towards each other at the same time.

Three swords and a fist collided, creating powerful sparks all around them. The ground underneath shattered, and the debris flew up.

The agent, while holding that same pose, swept his leg up and launched a kick at Zoro's neck.

Zoro tanked that kick and put even more force on his hands, pushing back the agent's fist and his swords slashing down the agent's chest.

Clang!

At the last moment, the agent used Tekkai and Armament Haki at the same time to block the edge of those swords.

While they did block the terrifying power of the slash, they didn't block his strength.

Zoro had put a bit too much strength in his swords, so when they collided, the agent was sent flying back, striking several buildings before coming to a stop.

Although that seemed like it would do a lot of damage, the agent wasn't injured at all. The dust dirtied his clothes, but except for that, he didn't suffer much damage.

He quickly got up and rushed toward Zoro with extraordinary speed.

Zoro had seen this coming, his Observation Haki, and quickly spun himself, creating a powerful whirlwind covered with sword slashes.

[Three Swords Style]

[Tatsumaki]

The agent was too close to the whirlwind. He couldn't dodge it, but he didn't care about it either.

He clenched his fist, coated it with Armament Haki, and punched forward.

His punch created a powerful blast of air that pierced through the whirlwind, tearing it apart as the sword slashes got scattered around, slashing the ground and the air, but not him.

Just when he thought he could get a chance to attack, Zoro appeared from above with both of his swords swinging towards him with great force.

[Nigiri: Toro Samon]

Although this attack was created to slash upward, Zoro could use it to slash enemies downward as well. He slashed both of his swords, creating two powerful sword projectiles that tore through the air and moved towards the agent.

Seeing these projectiles, the agent stomped on the ground, spun himself in the air, and released a massive slash through his feet.

[Mighty Rankyaku]

Unlike normal Rankyaku, this attack was almost a hundred meters long and fifty meters wide. This attack was created with such force that it could tear through an island.

But now, it was used to block Zoro's two sword projectiles. And, it did that without a hitch.

Bang! Bang!

Zoro's sword slashes broke into pieces as the mighty slash kept moving upward.

Zoro was left in a pinch. He could use Geppo to move in the air, but it wasn't flexible enough. At least, he couldn't use it as flexibly as Sanji.

So, his only choice was to counter this move with his own.

And, he decided to do just that.

With three swords coated with Armament Haki, he channeled all of his power into his swords and slashed downward.

[Three Swords Style]

[1080 Caliber Phoenix]

Three of his slashes merged into one, as a slash comparable to the mighty slash emerged from Zoro's swing.

Zoro's slash went down straight like a phoenix descending on earth. The sword slashes were woven into the shape of the phoenix.

When two slashes collided in the middle, it created a vacuum which began to suck in all the air from the surroundings.

The distortion was so heavy that the shockwave from the collision was enough to shatter the air itself.

This wasn't like Whitebeard shattering the air; it was a pure force of the collision weighing against the air itself.

But that wasn't going to be the end. When their forces collided, it also negated each other's power, causing their attacks to do no damage to each other.

Seeing this, the agent began to find Zoro's position with his Observation Haki. And, he was left stunned when he saw Zoro descending from the other side.

'He has mastered Geppo. That wasn't a Devil Fruit ability. Since he has mastered Geppo, it means the air battle won't be much of a benefit to me as I thought.'

The agent quickly thought to himself while preparing for Zoro's attack.

As for why he didn't try to attack Zoro.

It's simply because Zoro could see into the future. Although it wasn't as accurate and good as Sanji, Liam, and Luffy, it was still better than his.

So, he could only hope to rely on his overwhelming strength to defeat Zoro.

The fact that he could throw a slash comparable to Zoro's strongest flying slash demonstrated the pure force in his body.

This wasn't something that was born out of a devil fruit. It was a result of sheer training.

That's why Zoro resonated with him so much.

That being said, Zoro wanted to finish this battle as quickly as possible.

Because this agent wasn't his only enemy.

[Three Swords Style]

[Onigiri Purgatory]

Zoro dashed forward with extreme speed and slashed at the same time. When he tried to slash the agent, his attack was blocked by the Agent's fist.

They entered the state of stalemate once again.

It was getting annoying for Zoro. Because he was losing to the agent in terms of strength, and there was no way for him to counter.

He had to use something else.

At this moment, his eyes began to look serious as he stomped on the ground and retreated. Once again, he dashed forward with a similar attack, except his Haki was a bit different this time.

[Three Swords Style]

[Onigiri Purgatory]

When he launched this attack, the agent took it just like before. But the agent quickly found his Haki being overwhelmed by Zoro.

Before he thought about it, Zoro's Haki entered his fist and began to destroy his fist from the inside.

His hand began to bleed. The agent quickly retreated away from Zoro to gain some distance, but Zoro wasn't just going to let him leave.

He chased after the agent.

'Advance Armament! That was Advanced Armament Haki. Not only does he have Advanced Observation, he has also mastered Advanced Armament Haki.'

'No, if he had mastered Advanced Armament Haki, why didn't he use it before?'

'Why now?'

Holding his bleeding hand and covering it with his tie, the agent tried to think about Zoro's sudden increase in power.

He thought having Advanced Observation Haki was already amazing for Zoro. He never expected Zoro to have Advanced Armament Haki as well.

Since Zoro knew this, there was no reason for Sanji not to know it as well.

Well, he was wrong on this point. Sanji wasn't as good as Zoro in Armament Haki, so he hadn't learned Advanced Armament Haki.

That's the only thing keeping their powers at a similar level.

Not equal though! Because with Sanji's Devil Fruit's full power, he could overwhelm Zoro with a constant barrage of offensive abilities.

Zoro had a better mastery of Armament Haki than Observation Haki. He hadn't used Armament because he wanted to sharpen his Observation Haki.

But he had quickly realized that others had already finished their battles, and the only remaining ones were Liam and Luffy.

Since that was the case, the Marines might send more reinforcements just in case.

Although they had new members, Zoro believed in his strength.

He wasn't the type of person to not accept new members, but he wasn't the type of person to quickly accept them either.

So, instead of relying on Kuma and Law, Zoro believed in his strength.

More importantly, Sanji had already ended his battle, and he knew how much Sanji would tease him if he delayed it even more.

At this moment, Zoro increased his speed. He instantly reached behind the agent, and his swords began to spin.

While spinning, the purple Haki began to emit in front of his face. With a powerful stomp on the ground, Zoro instantly dashed forward.

[Santoryu Ogi]

[Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Sekai]

(A/N- I used a Japanese name because it sounds much better in Japanese.)

Zoro instantly appeared in front of the agent with his back facing the agent. When he turned around, the agent had a large wound on his waist, from behind to the front.

Even with the agent's Armament Haki, he wasn't able to block it.

Because of this wound, the agent had stopped moving. Seeing this, Zoro kept his swords up as he spoke.

"You are a respectful opponent. If I weren't worried about my crew, I would've more enjoyable battle with you."

"Let me send you with my strongest attack."

As he said, a ghostly aura began to emerge behind Zoro.

The figure had nine arms and three heads, and it was reflected on Zoro as well.

When the agent saw it, he sighed a breath of relief and closed his eyes.

Zoro dashed forward with his nine swords and swung them at the same time.

[Asura]

[Piercing Might]

As Zoro reached behind the agent, a large wound appeared on the Agent's chest, and he fell. His mask broke, revealing a small smile on his face.
