This chapter explains the how the system work in the series.
The inspiration for this system comes from 'Pioneer of the wizarding world' by WizardingOrigin.
Concerning stats:
Each stat has a maximum limit of 25. The higher the stat gets more difficult it is to level it up.
-To increase 1 to 10, it takes 1 stat point for each level.
To increase 10 to 15, it takes 2 stat point for each level.
To increase 15 to 20, it takes 4 stat point for each level.
To increase 20 to 25, it takes 8 stat point for each level.
-To understand it more easily, average student normally has Level 1-10 Body,1-10 Mind,1-10 Magic.
Average witch or wizard normally have Level 10-15 Body,10-15 Mind,10-15 Magic.
Professors and Aurors have a Level 15-20 Body,15-20 Mind,15-20 Magic.
That is not to say that student cannot have stats above 10, it is just that it is very rare for a student to reach that level before becoming an adult as it takes a lot of hard work.
Concerning Skills:
Skills can be divided into 6 stages [Novice -> Apprentice -> Journeyman -> Adept -> Expert -> Master]
Each of these 6 stages are further divided by 10 levels.
For Novice 1 to 10, it takes 2 skill points to raise by one level.
For Apprentice 1 to 10, it takes 4 skill points to raise by one level.
For Journeyman 1 to 10, it takes 8 skill points to raise by one level.
For Adept 1 to 10, it takes 16 skill points to raise by one level.
For Expert 1 to 10, it takes 32 skill points to raise by one level.
For Master 1 to 10, it takes 64 skill points to raise by one level.
-To make it easier to understand,
Year 1 - 3 students are expected to be at novice level in their studies.
Year 4-5 students are expected to be at Apprentice level in their studies.
Year 6-7 students are expected to be at Journeyman level in their studies.
Average witches and wizard are expected to be at level of Journeyman-Adept.
Professors and Aurors are expected to be at level of Adept-Expert.
Great Wizards like Dumbledore and Voldemort are expected to be at level of Master.
Concerning spells:
Spells are divided according to their difficulty level.
Lumos(Novice) can be learned easily by a novice, but the Accio(Apprentice) charm will be much more difficult to learn for a novice but still doable.
Example-Harry was able to learn Patronus charm(Expert) as a Novice-Apprentice , but it required a year.
For silent casting of a spell, your skill in silent casting should be at the same level as the spell difficulty.
For casting of a spell without wand motion, your skill in silent casting should be a level above the spell difficulty.
Lumos(Novice) can be casted silently at Silent Casting(Novice).
Lumos(Novice) can be casted without wand motion at Silent Casting(Apprentice).
Note-All spells casted without wand motion are silent.
At Master level all spells can be cast silently and without wand motion.
To increase Elemental manipulation of a single element -
2 skill point increases 5% in 1-10% range.
4 skill point increases 5% in 10-25% range.
16 skill point increases 5% in 25-50% range.
32 skill point increases 5% in 50-100% range.
