Seth walked out with Crimson Silk to where his cart was parked. No one said anything until they stood before the cart.
"The Maw I obtained from the ruin trial was the reason I survived that encounter," Seth said.
"It must be painful," Crimson Silk said with a knowing nod.
"Yeah. Terrifyingly so. I don't think I will undergo it again—even in the face of death!"
The man chuckled. "Well, you never know. Death is the most terrifying thing in existence."
Seth was silent for a moment before saying, "Thank you for everything!" He climbed onto his cart and it moved ahead.
"Special Human? Never saw one before!" Crimson Silk's wife appeared beside him.
"You have," Crimson Silk said to her.
"Who?"
"Father," he answered. "He recreated himself into a Special Human. The first in Gawee. Bloodline wasn't what made him great and respected by all—it was his ability to transform you into a Special Human."
Her eyes widened in shock before she stammered, "Are you… one too?"
