The place we were currently in was called The Sanctuary, and this whole area was built in a different dimension—a bit similar to how Eclipse worked but on a way bigger scale.
According to loli_pop's novel, this place belonged to the ancient era of civilization. Supposedly, the runes and spells from the ancient era were vastly more powerful than their current counterparts.
In fact, most of the research regarding custom spells had been done back then, and to this day there are some spells that are being used without mages actually knowing how they work.
As for who created this dimension and this mansion, it was never mentioned, so I don't know either. Although I did know a little bit about the maids and all the people present here.
Every one of them, including the maids and the butler, were actually not humans—they were automatons. They were highly complex pieces of magical engineering, loaded with tons and tons of custom magic spells and sequences.
