Tang Xuanzang, born in the death-laden era of 602-664, Xue Huaiyi lived from 662-695, matching the timelines quite precisely!
However, Xue Huaiyi, it appears, was of "mediocre aptitude" and only reached the age of 32 before he "could no longer bear the burden"!
In comparison, his two "predecessors" were relatively long-lived.
Historically, it has been recorded that Dharma lived for 150 years, while Tang Xuanzang, slightly less, enjoyed 62 years, reaching retirement age...
Interestingly, both were High Monks deeply versed in Buddhist Law.
