Mora stood up and looked down at Lubbock below. With a frenzied expression, he declared, "With your lowly abilities, you dare challenge the empire's rule? Say goodbye to your dreams! As long as Heavenly Yaksha Mora exists, you bloody rebels will never succeed."
As soon as Mora finished speaking, the crowd around him responded enthusiastically:
"Lord Mora is right!"
"Damn rebels, die obediently!"
"As expected of Lord Honest's son—both father and son are pillars of the empire!"
Mora listened to the cheers with satisfaction, nodding as he waved his hand commandingly: "Execute!"
Before the two executioners could act, an energy cannonball struck them.
From a distant elevated platform, a beautiful pink-haired girl aimed a firearm at Mora and shouted to Lubbock: "Don't be afraid, we're here to save you!"
Mine, a Night Raid member, wielded the Teigu Pumpkin—a weapon with tremendous long-range attack power.
Mora didn't appear concerned. Instead, his face revealed a smile of successful plan as he sneered, "I knew you would come for a rescue attempt. Now that you're here, don't expect to leave."
Mine glared at Mora with disdain: "As expected of that old thief Honest's son—you're as despicable as your father."
The moment she finished speaking, Pumpkin in Mine's hands opened fire, launching an energy shell directly at Mora.
Boom!
Mora absorbed Mine's attack as flames engulfed him.
Mine was ecstatic: "This idiot didn't dodge—did I kill him?"
A playful voice emerged from the flames: "Good attempt, but unfortunately, you can't kill me!"
The flames dissipated, revealing Mora completely unharmed. He was covered with a layer of Armament Haki that had blocked Mine's attack.
Mine froze momentarily, her expression incredulous: "How is this possible? Without using an Teigu, how could a human body withstand a Teigu attack?"
Mora laughed wildly: "This is power beyond your comprehension. Just surrender obediently! Considering the number of beauties among your Night Raid members, I might grant you an opportunity to earn redemption."
Mine sneered, raising her weapon as another energy cannonball fired: "Keep dreaming! Let's see how many attacks from Pumpkin you can withstand!"
Mora tilted his head, allowing the energy beam to pass through him. "I'm not limited to defense—I can dodge all your attacks. Not only that..."
Mora's gaze shifted to the execution platform below, where Night Raid members like Akame were rushing toward Lubbock. "I also possess Conqueror's Haki!"
Invisible pressure radiated from Mora, causing bystanders used as cover by Night Raid to collapse one after another, exposing the core fighters of both Night Raid and the Empire.
"Remarkable ability!"
"You can't live—perish!"
Akame wielded the one-cut-kill Teigu Murasame and attacked Mora without hesitation. Mora fought back fiercely, refusing to yield.
"Fufufufu~ Akame, why betray the empire? As a former imperial agent, you should understand the empire's might. You can't win, so surrender!"
Mora laughed with Doflamingo's distinctive sound and added mockingly, "If you surrender now, you can gain freedom after serving me as a maid for a few years. How about it?"
Akame's face remained cold as Murasame struck repeatedly at Mora, forcing him to dodge continuously.
Although he possessed the String-String Fruit ability and Armament Haki for protection, Mora preferred avoidance. He worried that a moment's carelessness might allow Murasame to cut his skin—a fatal outcome.
"Akame!"
After several consecutive evasions, the imperial forces Mora had arranged in advance appeared. A girl wielding a long katana accompanied by several puppets—closely resembling Akame—arrived on scene.
Kurome, Akame's younger sister, immediately engaged her older sibling, taking over Mora's battle.
"General Esdeath!"
As soon as Mora freed himself, he leapt to a blue-haired woman's side on the elevated platform, greeting her with a smile.
"Your smile is so disgusting!"
Esdeath regarded Mora indifferently, her tone ice-cold.
Mora protested with feigned grievance: "I don't want to smile like this!"
Esdeath snorted dismissively, completely ignoring his words. If he didn't want to smile that way, why would he do so?
Mora felt helpless. He knew Esdeath preferred a pure smile, but what could he do? As an imitator, he could only mimic Doflamingo's grin.
Pure smile...
"As my strength continues growing, even if I can't meet Esdeath's standards, I can still use my power to conquer her."
Mora glanced at Esdeath's figure, harboring malicious thoughts.
From a distance:
Lucas made his body transparent and silently observed the scene. Others in the chat group also witnessed these events through his perspective.
[CHAT GROUP]
Doflamingo: What's with that damn Mora? Not only does he have my String-String Fruit ability, but he imitates me in every way.
Golden Lion Shiki: In situations like this, we must consult our almighty Group Leader. You must know what's happening with him, right?
Lucas: Of course! Remember what I explained before? The past and future of your worlds might be merely stories in other worlds. And your world's stories might reflect events in the real world.
Liu Xing: I remember this—there are stories about Pirate and Ninja in our world.
Lucas: Those who arrive from other worlds are called traversers. Mora is a transmigrator who knows this world's past and future because he's seen stories about this world in his own.
Tatsumi: If that's true, hasn't he gained tremendous advantages? Knowing past and future must provide substantial benefits, right?
Lucas: Absolutely! Knowledge of past and future offers great advantages—how else could he eliminate you preemptively?
Tatsumi: What? I was killed immediately upon reaching the imperial capital—it was his doing? Damn him, why would he do this?
Lucas: Because in the original timeline, that woman would have like you. He didn't want that to happen, so he eliminated you in advance.
Tatsumi: I will be like by that woman—Imperial General Esdeath. How could she possibly be interested in me?
Lucas: The world works in mysterious ways—you simply matched her criteria for a love interest.
Howard Stark: That woman is truly beautiful! No wonder this transmigrator wanted to kill you. Crimes of passion are among the most common motives for murder.
Tatsumi: He altered my fate? Would my life have been happier without his interference?
Lucas: You're overestimating things! Even without him, your life would remain tragic. His appearance merely ended your tragic story prematurely.
Tatsumi: That can't be true!
Lucas: Why not? Without him, you would have joined Night Raid and watched your comrades perish one by one at the empire's hands. Meanwhile, Esdeath, who would have been attracted to you, remains a steadfast supporter of the empire.
Howard Stark: Given their opposing positions, would Esdeath still be drawn to him? If her attraction continued, would it change his allegiance? If his allegiance remained unchanged, why would the transmigrator consider him a threat?
Lucas: Howard, don't mistake Esdeath for an ordinary woman. She has peculiar preferences—she enjoys subjugating and torturing others. Simultaneously, she's a formidable warrior with unwavering beliefs in strength and firm convictions.
Lucas: If Tatsumi refused to join her in the empire, she would capture and torture him until he submitted to her will. Understand? She's not a simple woman—she's a powerful figure who craves dominance over others.
Tatsumi: ...
How terrifying to be desired by such a woman!
Doflamingo: Group Leader, why does he persistently imitate me? Both the String-String Fruit ability and Conqueror's Haki he demonstrated are exclusive to the Pirate World.
Lucas: He likely possesses something called a system, similar to our chat group in some ways. These systems have mysterious abilities to accomplish seemingly impossible feats.
Lucas: If I'm not mistaken, this transmigrator can acquire your powers by imitating you. Didn't he just admit it? He doesn't want to laugh like Doflamingo but must do so to gain power.
Golden Lion Shiki: It seems his system isn't as sophisticated as the Group Leader's. At least you don't need such complicated methods to become stronger.
Lucas: Certainly! We're both players in a sense, but I'm operating at a higher level.
Whitebeard: Group Leader, what about those nearly identical girls? I believe they're sisters. Why are they fighting so ferociously, as if determined to kill each other?
Doflamingo: Fufufufu~ Whitebeard, don't be naive. Who says siblings can't face each other in mortal combat? When positions differ, life-or-death confrontations are normal. Wasn't that the case with my brother Rosinante?
Sword God Ryuma: Doflamingo and his younger brother represented Pirates and Marines respectively, while those sisters represent the Empire and Revolutionary Army. Nothing new under the sun—essentially the same situation!
