Russell finally understood why Babel was called the "Wandering City."
The place he and Flower Touch arrived at was a top-secret space never accessed by anyone from Deer Head.
The specially designed sealed door there even considered Deer Head's spells — there was no matching door to enter directly from the "Room of Road." One had to teleport directly into another hallway, walk to the end, take an elevator, and enter a "doorless" room.
It was like the cockpit of a "spacecraft."
The entire space was hemispherical. It seemed to display everything around through some kind of camera.
Through those windows, Russell could see the factories of the Lower City District and the pitch-black sea above them.
Many empty chairs were now standing here, alone.
They varied in size and color.
