"I decree that we do not disarm for three days!
"Not even one hour less counts!
"Spread the order, all the soldiers of the Western Army and the loyalist forces, pursue them!"

In the Jingping Incident, after the defeat of the Qi Dynasty, Emperor Yingzong of Qi, Tang Qin, and Zhang Jingbang, who headed the ruling class, became puppets of the Jin people, who wantonly plundered the capital's populace, creating a scene akin to a hell on earth.
Yet, these events are merely glossed over in official histories.
Only in "The Chronicles of Jingping" are they detailed extensively.
The book narrates history from the perspective of a minor character; although it is unsigned, the author was present in the capital during these events.
Research in later eras suggests that the author might have been a student from the Imperial College at the time, not yet part of the bureaucratic class, which is why his multiple petitions to the court sunk like stones.
