The man raised his hand and a glowing ball of energy formed within his palm and shot outwards, hitting a nearby pillar of stone and causing the stone to explode.
A new screen appeared after that showing off a number of stats and abilities.

Kai's jaw dropped as he saw the stats. He had no idea what each stat meant, but the images that were shown were incredible. Kai looked at the screen and focused on the word strength. A new screen appeared showing the same cloaked man.
This time the cloaked man was lifting a large boulder over his head.
"Amazing." Kai gasped.
Kai was about to continue looking at the screens when a voice echoed through his head.
"I am the system and I have awakened your demon awakening system."
"System? Is that you?"
"Yes. I am the demon awakening system. The system that was created in order to empower the chosen."
"The chosen? You mean me?"
"That is correct. Your world has been chosen and is currently being transformed. Your world is undergoing the awakening."
"I don't understand. What do you mean my world is being awakened?"
"Your world is undergoing a process of evolution. As your world becomes more powerful, it will evolve into a new, higher state of existence. As this occurs, the people of your world will also undergo changes, and you, Kai, are among those who will be the most affected." "What do you mean? Why am I so special?"
"You have the power to become one of the rulers of this world. You are among those who have the potential to become an immortal and to rule over this new, higher plane of existence."
Kai shook his head. "What are you talking about? What are you trying to tell me?"
"I have chosen you, Kai, because I believe that you have the potential to become a demon king. I have granted you the ability to grow stronger and gain power. By completing quests and unlocking your hidden powers, you will be able to grow in power and become a ruler of this new, higher plane of existence. However, the process of evolution will not be an easy one. Many will be tempted by the darkness and many will fall. I will assist you and guide you, but in the end, it will be up to you, Kai, to determine your own destiny."
Kai was shocked. He had never thought that he would ever be able to do anything like that. He had always been told that he was nothing and would never amount to anything.
Now, here he was being told that he had the potential to become one of the most powerful people in his world. He could not believe it.
"Is this a dream? Am I just imagining all of this?"
"This is not a dream. This is real. I have chosen you, Kai. You are special. You have the power to become a demon king. Now, I must leave. The awakening is coming soon. It will not be long before the others will awaken. Once the awakening is complete, the true battle will begin. You must prepare yourself."
"Wait!"
But it was too late. The voice was gone and Kai was left alone in the darkness.
He didn't know what to think. Was this all a dream? Or was it real?
He tried to remember everything that had happened. He remembered waking up in the middle of the night. He remembered seeing the screen. He remembered the strange voice.
"No, this is real."
He looked around the room and noticed that everything was still the same. His clothes were still on his body. His bed was still in the corner. There were no signs that anything had changed.
