Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: Short Break, Encounter Abysmal Monster

The journey grew more arduous with each passing day. The land became increasingly desolate, a reflection of the slow decay of both human and demon territories.

Alucard found himself pushing forward not only out of duty, but also out of a strange compulsion to find answers.

The deeper he ventured into the unknown, the stronger the sensation grew that something was waiting for him, something that would change everything.

One evening, as the sky darkened and the winds picked up, Alucard found himself in a small, ruined village. It had been abandoned for years, its buildings reduced to rubble.

Yet, there was something unsettling about the place—a thick, oppressive air that hung over the ruins like a shroud.

The ground was littered with strange markings, symbols that Alucard did not recognize.

They were carved into the stone and dirt, a language older than anything he had encountered.

What happened here?

He carefully stepped over the debris, his instincts sharp. The village seemed... wrong.

There was no sound, no movement, just an eerie stillness that gripped the land. His eyes narrowed as he surveyed the area, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword.

He wasn't alone.

The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, a warning sign that sent a shiver down his spine.

Suddenly, from the darkness, something shifted.

A creature—no, something—emerged from the shadows.

It was unlike anything Alucard had ever seen. It wasn't a demon in the traditional sense, nor was it a beast of the earth. It was an abomination, a nightmare made flesh.

Its form was an ever-shifting mass of tentacles, eyes, and writhing shadows, its body twisting and contorting as if it didn't belong in this world.

It reeked of death, of something ancient and incomprehensible.

What is this?

The creature let out a low, guttural screech, its many eyes narrowing on Alucard. For a moment, time seemed to freeze. Alucard's pulse quickened, and his mind raced.

This was no ordinary monster—it was something far worse.

Something beyond the veil of reality itself.

The creature lunged at him, its many limbs reaching out like serpents, its jaws snapping with an otherworldly hunger.

Alucard reacted instinctively, drawing his blade in one swift motion, slashing through the air with deadly precision.

But as the blade met the creature's form, it didn't cut through. Instead, it seemed to bend and distort the world around it, as if the very fabric of reality was being torn apart by its presence.

This is no ordinary fight.

Alucard's eyes glowed with an intense crimson light, his body shifting into battle mode.

His strength surged as he unleashed a torrent of dark energy, striking at the creature with everything he had.

But it wasn't enough.

The creature seemed to heal, its form regrowing faster than he could strike.

It's not possible...

But Alucard wasn't about to give up.

With a roar, he focused all his power into a single, concentrated strike. The blade cleaved through the creature's form, and with a sickening screech, the beast disintegrated into nothingness, leaving behind only the lingering stench of decay.

Alucard stood panting, his heart racing.

What had he just faced?

That thing... it wasn't of this world.
