From MC's Perspective:

The dark-winged worm went on a rampage. It had lost its prey. After tearing apart the surrounding area, the worm monsters went back underground. If the prey appears next time, it will strike first.
Inside the Gregor Mansion, I continued to lie on the floor. The dark mana was causing the problem. Even if I tried to circulate the mana, it still caused severe pain.
About a few hours later,
I stood up after some struggle and slowly walked towards the control room to check. Upon arriving there, I saw there was no movement outside.
There was no sign of the dark-winged worm monster.
Swoosh!
With a thought, I appeared back outside. Then I turned around to return to the place inside the cave. From now on, I won't step inside the charred land, even if there are treasures and other resources.
Shortly afterward,
I returned to the previous spot inside the cave. I simply leaned against the cave wall and decided to wait for Lord Charlotte to arrive.
