"Claire, are you hurt?"
Julian Sia looked at her, emotions swirling in his eyes before finally calming down. He spoke softly.
Claire Green replied slowly, "I'm fine."
The middle-aged woman felt anxious upon hearing his intimate tone of address.
Although the House of Goodman collaborated on a project with higher-ups, it couldn't compare to the Sia Manor. If Julian pursued the matter, the consequences would be unbearable for her.
Thinking of this, the woman shivered and spoke in a panic, "Master Julian, this is all a misunderstanding."
Just as she finished her sentence, Owen Lawrence crossed his arms and spoke with schadenfreude, his tone laced with chill.
"Mrs. Goodman didn't say it was a misunderstanding before. A criminal record, locked up. Let me think, who said something like that."
Saying this, he pretentiously rubbed his chin and drew out his voice.
"It seems like it was you, right?"
Then.
Laughter rang out one after another, and everyone felt quite relieved seeing this scene.
Julian Sia suddenly chuckled, his deep voice resonating, "A criminal record, locked up, who do you think you are."
The malice in his eyes was unmistakable, his face expressionless.
Director Liu felt a chill down his spine and quickly spoke up, "Rest assured, Master Sia, we absolutely have no such intention."
The middle-aged woman was furious inside after hearing him say this, yet she dared not lose her temper.
Just letting this girl go means my son's injury was for nothing.
Owen Lawrence immediately saw through what she was thinking. Recalling the details he had just learned, he spoke coolly.
"Master Julian, Michael Goodman is really scum. I heard today this guy brought seven or eight big men to block Sister Claire, and was ultimately taken down by Sister Claire alone."
"Owen Lawrence! Are you determined to oppose us," the middle-aged woman shouted, her eyes glaring at him filled with resentment.
Hearing this, Owen shrugged, completely indifferent to her words.
So what if I'm opposing? The House of Goodman will need the capability to deal with the House of Lawrence in the future.
"Where is he?" Julian Sia asked, his expression indifferent, his eyes cold.
"He's lying in the hospital now, and the results show three broken ribs."
Owen Lawrence flipped through the report the police handed him earlier. Wow, if it wasn't broken ribs, it was a fractured arm or a cracked spine for several people.
Considering the situation, they'll need a good while to recuperate in bed.
Sister Claire is ruthless, nothing like something a girl would do.
Claire Green had somehow sat down on a chair, crossed one leg, leisurely playing a game.
When she heard Owen's voice, she paused, her delicate eyes showing laziness, a hint of wickedness at the corner of her lips.
She casually said, "Turns out I was really gentle."
Owen, along with a group of police officers, twitched their faces, feeling like her words expressed regret.
"Since they're not dead, let Charles take them back."
Julian Sia slightly turned his head, his gaze quite cold.
Owen made a gesture and immediately called Charles Jordan to have him take all those people back from the hospital.
The middle-aged woman couldn't hold back any longer and blurted out, "Master Julian, you can't take Michael away. What you're doing is illegal, and I can sue you."
Julian Sia lifted his eyelids and rubbed his thumb against his palm, "You can try."
His voice was light, cold, and blatantly arrogant.
Afterwards.
Julian Sia turned to the seated girl and calmly said, "Claire, let's go home."
Claire Green lazily responded with an "Oh," got up, and walked over to him.
Watching the two leave, Director Liu immediately breathed a sigh of relief, then saw Owen Lawrence smiling at him.
"Is there anything else, Mr. Lawrence?"
"No, just a reminder, do whatever you see fit with this person."
Owen pointed at the man playing dead beside him, tossing a casual statement.
Being singled out suddenly, Director Zhang felt like dying; if not for some connections with the House of Goodman, he wouldn't have gotten involved today.
Now that Master Julian knows, his official position is as good as over.
Sure enough, the next moment, he heard Director Liu's voice, "Old Zhang, you're dismissed!"
...
Back in the car, neither of them spoke. Julian Sia turned his head and saw Claire Green bowing her head, lost in thought.
"It seems the one with endless charm is Claire," Julian finally broke the silence.
He raised his eyebrow, the originally cold eyes adorned with a faint smile, his lips curled into a slight arc.
Claire Green lifted her head and gazed at him with dark, bright eyes, feeling an unexpected lightness, this man surely remembered things well.
"Not comparable to you, brother,"
Her voice was lazy, with a hint of nonchalance.
Hearing that, Julian Sia's gaze lingered for a few seconds before he let out a low laugh and drove away.
Soon, they arrived at the Berlin residence. Julian nodded, his magnetic voice soft, yet slightly hoarse.
"Claire, you go in first. I still have something to do."
For that, Claire Green narrowed her beautiful eyes. She knew what the man was planning, but didn't expose it and got out of the car directly.
...
Charles Jordan saw Julian Sia come in and said, "They've all been brought back."
Julian Sia gave a slight nod, his handsome face expressionless, his eyes cold and severe.
Then.
He said with a bland tone, "Have Jacob fan the flames a bit."
Charles Jordan understood his meaning, excitement flashed in his eyes, he secretly rubbed his hands and nodded before leaving.
This time, the House of Goodman is finished.
Julian Sia looked at the man lying on the ground and stepped down hard.
His eyes were filled with coldness, his movements unrelenting, his voice low and hoarse, "Thinking of touching Claire, huh?"
Michael Goodman, treated like this, instinctively clenched his hands. The pain all over his body made him wish he could faint.
"Julian...Sia...let me...go," he even struggled to speak, forcing the words out one by one.
Julian lifted his foot and suddenly kicked hard, his indifferent voice echoing in the vast space.
"You should be thankful Claire wasn't hurt today."
Michael Goodman stiffened all over, looking up apprehensively.
And then.
"The House of Goodman, you wish."
Michael Goodman lay on the ground, hearing his words, a chill swept over him. Julian Sia was going to take down the House of Goodman, all for a woman.
...
The middle-aged woman returned to the House of Goodman, her face pale, trembling as she sat on the sofa.
The servants saw her like this and felt worried but didn't dare approach.
Alexander Goodman came back and saw her like this, pinching his brows irritably, "What's going on?" he asked.
Seeing him, the woman felt as if she had seen her pillar, grabbed his arm, and started crying.
"Alexander, what should we do? Michael was taken away by Master Julian."
After that.
The man spoke in a deep voice. "What are you talking about, what exactly happened?"
The woman's eyes dodged, and facing the man's expression, she hesitantly confessed everything.
"Smack—"
After listening, Alexander Goodman gave her a hard slap across the face.
"It's all because you spoiled them, not one of them turned out well."
He said coldly and rushed out.
With Julian's temperament, there's definitely no room for compromise in this matter. Fortunately, he signed a project with the higher-ups during this time.
While he was feeling relieved, the phone rang, leaving him with a bad premonition.
Upon answering, the person on the other end spoke with urgency, "Mr. Goodman, something's wrong. A notice just came down, the project has been stopped."
Alexander Goodman's vision darkened, gripping the phone tightly, he spoke in disbelief.
"How was it suddenly stopped?"
The person on the line was silent for a moment before saying, "The project has issues, they say it's related to bribery, money laundering."
After the call ended, Alexander Goodman was left in a daze. The phone slipped from his hand onto the ground.
It's over, the House of Goodman's liquid funds and reduced shares were all invested, now it's all gone.
Suddenly, a person flashed in Alexander Goodman's mind, "Master Julian, Master Julian must be involved in this matter."
