Delia was the one to clear up the misunderstanding, coming to my defense against the harsh way my mother had addressed me.
My mother's hostilities calmed down almost instantly once she understood that the three annoying beauties were not part of the romantic relationship between me and my girls.
Thereafter, both she and the three annoying beauties exchanged words of apology.
Then we were finally able to start talking about calmer topics.
As soon as the misunderstanding was cleared up and things calmed down, to the surprise of me and my parents, the three annoying beauties asked my mother if it was possible for her to train them.
My mother initially refused, but ended up agreeing when she saw how much Alessia appreciated her friends.
So, from now on, some days the three annoying beauties will go to train with my parents while Alessia, Delia, and I go to the no man's zone.
The request from the three annoying beauties led me to think about how strange my parents' strength is, as they are strong despite not having any class activated.
That has made me reflect on the possibility of being a little less enthusiastic with my classes and skills and focus even more on increasing my stats through pure training.
Now that I know that there are methods to forcibly disable people's classes, I should take precautionary measures in this regard.
It has always been believed that people without class are inferior people, but perhaps that is something the Solus Temple has instilled in the population to take advantage of them.
At the end of the day, my parents have no activated class and yet they have been successful in life.
But I don't know to what extent I can hold my parents as examples of anything.
"No, Emir. As Emilia said a moment ago, we think it's best for you to work out your problems..." says my father placatingly, at the expression of disbelief and disappointment on my face.
' - This outcome was the most obvious. ... I don't know what Master imagined would happen, but I've gotten to know my in-laws quite well during the time I've spent training at their house, and I get the impression that, unless a problem is directly in front of them, Master's parents aren't very proactive.'
"... We'll stay close by in case you need our help, but we won't help you unless it's an emergency."
'Haa... I should have expected it... I was a fool to think that my carefree, thoughtless parents would help us in any other way.'
"You're all grown up now and you're our son. Overthrowing a king or whatever shouldn't be too much trouble for a son of ours..." says my mother, as she looks lovingly at my dad.
"... We already had our share of fun with those kinds of people. Now it's your turn to show them who's boss."
"Besides, if we get actively involved, it's possible that someone will recognize us, even in this kingdom..." says my dad with a nostalgic smile.
"... And believe me, you don't want that to happen."
Emir: !!!
'Who are my parents really??!!!...
They are not famous criminals from another kingdom, are they?...
Being my parents...
I wouldn't be surprised'
"Don't worry. If you really need our help, we'll surely find out," says my mother, with a smile full of confidence.
'How on earth can they trust their luck so much? And why is it that it always works in their favor...?
The luck they have is supernatural...
Simple chance can't make such ridiculous things happen as penguins raining down...
But I witnessed that it is something possible around them...
And that's not even the craziest thing I've ever seen.'
"Haa... Fine. Thank you for your... help..." I say, with some hesitation as I utter that last word.
"... And speaking of help, do you need money? The fact that you had to spend money on renting a house in the capital is because of us. If you want, I can give you some money to compensate you for that expense."
Miria, Zia, Irina: !!!
' - If Emir is not rich because of his parents… Where does he get his fortune from? Seems like Alessia's boyfriend is quite a box of surprises'
"What are you talking about? Money has never been a problem for us," says my father, quizzically.
'I knew it! My parents are famous criminals...
That explains how violent my mother is most of the time...
I shouldn't have agreed to them coming to the capital...
Now it all makes sense...
That's why we lived in a rural village...
They were hiding from justice!'
"It's true that when we left home we didn't have the money to rent the house we've rented here, but that was solved on the way..." says my mother, as if she were explaining something elementary.
"... Money is not something we've ever worried about. It comes when you need it and goes when you want to treat yourself."
"How did you get the money to rent that house?" I ask, worried about what answer they might come up with.
"As we were traveling here, we met a merchant who was having trouble with some bandits..." says my mother, who looks at me with concern, as if she thinks I've suddenly become stupid.
"... We saved him and for that reason he wanted to hire us as escorts for his caravan."
"Ahh... So you rented the house with the money the merchant gave you for escorting him and saving him from the bandits," I say, letting out a sigh of relief.
"Yes. The man was very grateful after we saved him from that dragon," my father says with a smile.
Emir, Alessia, Delia, Irina, Zia, Miria: !!!!
'A dragon? Aren't dragons thought to be nearly extinct?'
The three annoying beauties and my girls seem as surprised as I am at what we've just heard and get into a very animated conversation in whispers.
"And from that Snow Wolves herd... And from that Giant Mantis... And from who knows how many more monsters," adds my mother, also smiling.
Emir: !!!
"Hahaha, yes... That poor guy had terrible luck. But, you know what they say: the misfortune of some is the luck of others. And we received a small fortune in return for saving his life so many times," says my father with a grin from ear to ear.
Emir: !!!
'So many monsters...
It is not normal that there are so many dangers on the roads...
If so, they would never have sent me alone to the capital...
Or would they?...
From the way my parents talk about all those things, they don't seem to think they are dangerous things...
At least for our 'family luck'...
Anyway, it's very strange that they've encountered so many monsters...
It's almost as if...
Ahh...
Now I understand...
Poor guy...
If he hadn't been on the same path as my parents, maybe he would have been spared from suffering so many misfortunes...
It's not that my parents are criminals...
It is worse...
They indirectly make reality itself dirty its hands for them...
They are two walking disasters...
But...
That doesn't have to be a bad thing...
At least as long as they're on my side.'
"Now I get it..." I say, sighing.
"... And I suppose you got the rent from the house in a similar way, right?"
"Yes... How did you know?" asks my father with innocent curiosity.
"I don't know... It just occurred to me," I say, sighing again.
'And the worst thing is that they don't seem to be fully aware of what they generate around them...
They've always bragged about our family luck...
But, being as carefree as they are, they must never have given serious thought to the really strange way their luck works...
I wonder what kind of chaos they must have generated in the past to have the fame they seem to think they have outside of this kingdom.'
"Ahh... Well, you guessed right..." says my father, watching with a slight frown at my expression.
"... When we were looking for houses to rent, we happened to witness a robbery in a street and we, naturally, chased and captured the thieves before they had the slightest chance to escape."
"Well, you won't believe this, but it turned out that the person they were robbing was someone in the real estate business..." says my mother, enthusiastically.
'At this point, nothing surprises me anymore...
If their luck could make fucking dragons, and who knows how many other monsters, appear on the road between Dominir town and the capital, the appearance of two or three people is really no big deal.'
"...He helped us find the house we rented, and it was also thanks to him that we were able to rent a rather large house for a rather low amount of money."
"See. That's why we've always told you that you have to be kind to people and be a decent person. If you do good, in return the world treats you well," says my father, looking at all of us to see if we, inexperienced and innocent young people, have caught the important message he's conveying to us.
' - I knew it! Emir's parents are excellent people. Blue Wind must have been wrong about them.'
'Don't worry, Dad. I get it all right now...
I had really underestimated the power of your stupid and unfair luck...
Hmm...
It seems that their strange luck has a relatively small radius of effect but is extremely powerful within that radius...
Then...
What would happen if I infiltrated the Drial Cenit Kingdom's palace along with my parents?...
Would the king die of a sudden heart attack?...
The idea is tempting...
But I don't like to rely on luck...
It seems to help my parents all the time, even for the most trivial things, but with me it has never been so generous...
Besides...
They will have their ridiculously supernatural luck, but I have my interface...
At the end of the day, I think my user interface is much more absurd and reliable...
Yes, it's better to play it safe.'
