In a makeup room filled with shades of girlish pink, Vicki Johnson sat in front of a mirror, dressed in a pristine white wedding gown.
In the reflection, the layered wedding gown trailed a long hem, adorned with white tulle flowers, making her, clad in her wedding dress, seem like an apricot sprite stepping out from amongst blossoming apricot trees.
"So beautiful," Ave Carlisle exclaimed in admiration.
Looking at her own delicate makeup in the mirror, Vicki Johnson felt a bit shy, her face faintly blushing as she modestly lowered her head.
"Hey, it seems like something's missing." Ave Carlisle slapped her head and said, "That's right, the wrist corsage. It must be Emma's doing. Wait here, I'll go get it for you." Having said this, Ave Carlisle left the makeup room.
"Ave, don't scare Emma. I'll look just the same without that wrist corsage," Vicki Johnson called after Ave Carlisle's retreating figure.
"No way, we can't let her get away with it."
