The little creature's stirring woke the soundly sleeping Alicia Carlisle, who rubbed her bleary eyes and said, "Little darling, you're awake."
"Mummy, Mummy." Emma pointed in the direction of the window and said.
Straining to get up, Alicia Carlisle looked over and through the curtains could see that it was light outside. She couldn't help but mutter, "Your mummy went to work overtime and didn't come back all night, poor thing." Her sister had said the night before that she would come back after finishing her work, but now that the day had broken, it seemed she must have encountered some trouble.
"Daddy, Daddy too!" Emma pointed in the direction of the window again and said with her little hand.
Mistaking the little creature's words for needing a poo, Alicia was wide awake in an instant. She picked up the little creature and said, "Let's go, Auntie will take you to the toilet for a poo."
