Chapter 552 - Unsealing

Although he was able to live on with a goal in mind and to also raise his daughter well in the place of his dead wife, there was not a lot of hope in his life.

There were many days when he was consumed by despair and desperation as he was trying to combat a situation that seemed to be impossible for him to achieve in his lifetime.

He always imagined the many lives that would go on to suffer from the very same thing that he escaped.

The longer that he failed to find a solution, the more that more innocent people would have to try to survive under such terrible conditions.

The aid provided by the drones upon being granted entry into the island only helped to provide various forms of relief whether it was providing safe to consume food and water or to provide protective clothing.

Some even helped to find those who were struggling to survive and were close to death so that other Automata could be deployed to enter and retrieve them in time.

Soon more were being rescued and were brought to a treatment camp where they were given various treatments that relieved most of their symptoms but it was not yet a complete method of curing their current status.

If it was not for the intervention of Alyssia and Tristan who helped Quinn then even that temporary relief would not have been possible.

Although Alyssia wanted them all to learn at their own pace at times, such an approach was not always applicable when the lives of others hung in the balance.

The only thing that she could do was speed up the process a little to help reduce the casualties further and buy a little more time before the completed cure could be produced.

After providing some guidance in the right direction, it was already at the stage of testing it out but if it was anything like what Alyssia had in mind then there would be no need for that.

Most of the things that Alyssia had made so far were always ready to be used for the purpose they were supposed to be used for since the system she had the assistance of had been there to provide many complex combinations of knowledge to form the best possible blueprints.

Those blueprints were the best possible outcome that was possible to be produced using everything she had collected and experimented further with so anything produced would not be a failure and the flaws or side effects involved would be eliminated unless something important was missing.

After collecting all kinds of skills and constantly making constant collections of them from the greatest of minds in the Grand Line, it was difficult to still have flaws present themselves for such a task.

While all of that was taking place, Alyssia was calmly seated in her laboratory with a calm attitude as she contemplated various future events.

A seasnail was activated and she began to get to work right away. "Monera. I want you to unseal the pod that has water one written on it."

Another call was made not too long after that. "Zihaojin. I will be sending materials your way. Be sure to build a weapon to the specifications I have included in the blueprints."

Meanwhile, in the Grand Line, Zihaojin was still honing his hammer techniques while trying to improve his blacksmithing skills even further.

The arrival of the blueprints along with many new materials only helped to increase his eagerness to make something that fit the demands of Alyssia.

His hammering inside his workspace could be heard as he got to work right away.

Meanwhile, in another location in the Grand Line...

Several ships were gathered together in the middle of the sea while a couple of figures could be seen lowering things down into the water below.

Three figures stood out the most among them.

Two of them had features that were quite similar to monkeys or apes while the other man had some form of bump on the top of his head.

The location was quite far from Jaya but Mont Blanc Noland and the Sarayuma Alliance were still pursuing the same thing they always did.

They were searching the bottom of the sea to uncover many treasures that had long been lost until they salvaged them.

Just as they were preparing for another salvage mission, there was some movement that came from below suddenly.

Many figures began to appear from the sea as they came down from below and started to swim closer to the ship.

In a single moment, an orange-skinned woman jumped up onto the deck of the ship dressed in a martial arts set of clothing.

Yellow star patterns were over the orange skin that was shown on her body among the parts that were left uncovered.

Monera looked around before spotting Cricket. "Oh hey again! Yet another treasure hunt for you guys? You are annoying doing things like this all of the time. "

Cricket frowned looking annoyed. "It is you again? This is how we choose to live. Stop interfering!"

Monera rolled her eyes in response. "Hmm... then how about you just join my group? With our capabilities wouldn't that make things much easier for you? That means you will get to work alongside Merfolk and Fishmen."

She left those final words to tempt him since there was a clear superiority between those two races when it came to swimming and delving deep into the sea.

Their race had a clear advantage and they could easily achieve things underwater that Cricket and the others struggled with often.

Even Cricket had suffered a physical toll from the number of times he had gone deep underwater to scavenge for many things despite him being quite physically strong and being a good swimmer.

Even with the assistance of various equipment that they had available, they were not always successful and various problems could arise at times.

Cricket had been asked the same thing many times already but he rejected them.

Unfortunately, the constant clashes with Monera and her group often resulted in him losing out.
