The sun had yet to rise in the east, but the soldiers were already preparing for departure. Arthur, too, was saddling his horse. Not a single member of the royal family came to see him off. It didn't matter to him. He never considered any of the royals his family.
A blond-haired man approached Arthur. "All the soldiers are ready. When do we move out?"
Arthur turned to him. "Soon, Leon."
That blond man was Prince Leon, the only prince who had stood by Arthur ever since they met Esther. In this war, he had been appointed Vice Commander. His rank wasn't particularly high in the kingdom—but it was still higher than Arthur's. Leon walked off immediately to issue orders to the soldiers, telling them departure was imminent.
