While all these took place outside, no one was aware of the mental breakdown that was occurring inside of the house.
"Watch out!" The girl pushed the little boy out of the way. A part of the roof fell down on the spot the boy had just left. He was stained with smoke and dust. He had coughing fits and the girl patted his back to comfort him.
"I'm... *Cough*... sorry, Chiaki-nee. It's all my fault... I'm sorry."
"Hush," She placed a finger on his lips. "Let's get out of here first, okay? It wasn't your fault."
Her gentle voice soothed him, and he used the little willpower he had left to carry him on.
