While following Death's trail, Alex and the old man arrived at another village where they decided to stay for the night. The old man spent some time helping the others with any formation they may have needed.
Alex also went around treating any sick or wounded in the village.
At night, the old man brought out his new cauldron to train his alchemy. He was getting much better at flame control after getting used to his Fire spiritual root, so he was quite motivated to continue training.
Alex's lessons were also incredibly easy to understand, which made it far easier for him to learn quickly.
Meanwhile, Alex had Whisker bring out the Battle Mimicry artifact. Whisker hadn't had any chance to play around with the artifact ever since they began searching for Death, so he decided to help him.
