And then there were zombies.
Zombies were the lowest tier of residents in the Blood Clan territory. Slow-moving, incredibly strong, not very bright, but reliable workers. The downside? They ate a lot.
Normally, any member of the Blood Clan could turn a corpse into a zombie. However, the problem lay in getting the corpse. After all, you couldn't just pick one up off the streets. Due to the accord with Heaven, the Blood Clan couldn't freely hunt humans either. If they wanted bodies, they had to buy them.
"So, how much does a body cost?"
The bodies were sold by goblins. Jones never quite understood why goblins sold everything.
"A hundred Gold Coins for an adult male's body."
"Why is it so expensive?"
"You have to understand, within the framework of the accord, obtaining a body that can be legally turned into a zombie isn't easy."
"Anything cheaper?"
"An adult female's body goes for thirty Gold Coins, and a child's body can be as low as five Gold Coins."
