Holy Spirits are artificial spiritual bodies, created by the Gods of Light as weapons of war. Only Supreme Holy Spirits like Luna have independent consciousness; the rest are mere tools, stubbornly persisting even in the face of insurmountable natural phenomena until they perish.
The reason they fall is that they are embodiments of Faith Elemental Force. When faith becomes tainted, so does the power. But God Stars are the most original existence in the void. How could they possibly become tainted?
Isn't it absurd, like saying salt could go moldy?
