As the entirety of Central City recovers from last night's disaster, in Kame House Zero was waking up, stretching, and yawning. "Man, last night was pretty wild. That old man sure does know how to throw a party, it's a real shame Krillin couldn't stay with us though."
During the time that he was talking Zero got a whiff of his breath causing his face to sour. "Morning breath is the true enemy of life." Zero stayed upstairs in the guest room. There were a few pieces of furniture in this area but they didn't make it any more lively. He got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, his morning ritual has begun.
While he brushed his teeth Zero figured he should check up on some things. [Hey Aurora what's the status on Broly and Beerus.] Within his brain, a voice rang and began speaking.
***DING***
[Good morning Zero, Broly accompanied by his father Paragus are currently surviving and starting to train on planet Vampa. Lord Beerus is still asleep whilst his assistant Angel Whis is wandering the universe trying out new foods.]
***
[Everything is going along normally, is there anything important I should know about?] When dealing with reincarnation you can never be too careful.
***
[There are a few events that have changed from the original story since your arrival. Although I can say what they are, I feel it would be best if you found those major things on your own.]
***
Zero transitions from brushing his teeth to the shower, he turns on the hot water and steps in. "Ahh, a hot steaming shower is always a great way to calm my nerves." Aurora didn't tell him what he needed to know which made his anxiety rise. So, he got in the shower to avoid tearing his hair out over this. Sure he could ask her but despite his worries, the mystery and surprise are completely worth it!
"Despite what was shown in the anime, Dragon Ball is an anime filled with mysteries." He said to himself while drying off and changing into his school uniform. "From Z all the way to Super this show depicted this world as 'Ki is all that matters'. People forgot that magic exists!"
"Fortune Teller Baba is one of the many. Hell, Senzu Beans are literally magical beans that heal all wounds!" Zero had no idea why he felt compelled to have this rant to himself, but he now had a new goal in mind.
[Hey Aurora, make a goals chart for me, please. My main goal in this life is to truly master magic of any kind, along with full mastery of Ki as well.] He spoke in his mind to his all-knowing partner.
***
[Alright Zero, one note worthy end-of-life goal is to be a master in both magic and Ki control. You must know that this is not impossible but it will be harder the more types of magic you attempt to master. Would you like to enroll at the Seminary Of Thaumaturgy? This school teaches its students to utilize a wide variety. Although they tend to focus on people completely mastering 2 different kinds of magic.]
***
[The Seminary Of Thaumaturgy? That wasn't a school known to Dragon Ball..this must be one of the changes you spoke of earlier.] After thinking for a few minutes while cleaning his room he ultimately decided against it. Zero knew that this was an extremely uphill battle but he was prepared. Although this appears to be a helpful change, he didn't want to waste his time studying books in some boring school.
The boy walked to the door of the room, he turned to take one more look at it while sighing. "It's been nice staying here." Zero opened the door and walked downstairs. Master Roshi sat down reading one of his magazines until he noticed the boy coming into the living room.
"Hey sensei, his was great and all but now I have to find a new place to live. I've decided that I should leave the Kame House. The six months that I have spent here were the best; your teachings have been engraved in my very being, from now on I'll continue to train myself and I promise to repay you greatly for everything you've done." Zero bowed to his sensei who in turn laughed.
"You're leaving me quicker than Goku or Krillin ever have, I suppose you're right though. Everyone learns how to swim eventually some sooner than others, you are the former." The old master stood up and patted the young boy on his shoulder. "So uh do you know a place where I could stay?"
Roshi stood thinking to himself, there's no harm in helping out a former pupil after all. "If I am remembering correctly when I first started my journey to becoming a martial arts master I first started exploring the world."
They moved over to some couches, Zero listened to him continue to speak. "There were a few places I have visited in search of a location to start my school. One of which is located deep within the North Mountains. That mountain range was a strange place, even walking through during the day gave me the heebie-jeebies!"
Zero's body tensed. "Woah, something managed to scare you?" He completely forgot to remember this was at the start of his career, Roshi was timider in his youth.
"Yes but despite that, I continued forward. After several nights spent walking the mountains, hunting wildlife, and freezing I finally came across a tall crystal. I became curious as it looked extremely sturdy, so upon walking closer I noticed there was an entrance at the base."
"Apparently someone had carved out the entire inside! The huge crystal was turned into a tower of some sort but the owner had long since been gone. Some stairs led to a lookout area but were also an opening in the ground just under the stairs. Fr-" Master Roshi was slowly starting to remember everything, although Zero got impatient and interrupted him.
"Did you go downstairs??" He blurted out interrupting Roshi's train of thought "Of course I did, now let me finish!" The irritated senior grabbed his staff and smacked Zero on his head.
"Now as I was going to say. From the moment I entered the tower that peculiar feeling had become more apparent. I don't know what it was but still, I went to the opening under the stairway. Connected to it was a ladder that led downwards in some sort of opening so I jumped down. This 'basement-like' area had torches that dimly lit the walls and floors around and since I could see, I could walk."
"At the end of one of the large corridors, I saw some sort of figure kneeling. The temperature dropped drastically and I began to get colder fast, obviously, that was the least of my problems."
"Not knowing if it was hostile or not I got in my stance to charge up the 'Kamehameha Wave' which I had already mastered by This point in my life. To my surprise nothing happened, I tried over and over for five minutes straight and in the end got no results!" This was quite shocking to Zero, the story created an eerie feeling to fill the room.
"So you couldn't fight the creature?" He wondered how such a thing could happen. "Not in the slightest so I left. It's not wise to rush into a battle ill-prepared, especially if the opponent has an overwhelming advantage."
"You're young and I don't have the want for adventure anymore, if you want to travel to the Nothern Mountains and try to conquer this tower then go ahead. I cannot choose your path for you, Zero." The long-winded story finally came to an end as his eyes landed on a very excited-looking boy with dreads.
His answer was decided from the moment the old man mentioned jumping down that opening. "YES!" He immediately answered, although there wasn't a question asked that didn't matter to him. Zero was shaking with excitement, not knowing what was in store at this crystal tower he stood up and bowed.
"Thank you again, all be heading out now." Just as he turned around Master Roshi cleared his throat causing Zero to stop mid-twist. "Yes?" The old man held out both hands in which each was something different. "These should help you on your journey if you ever find yourself in a pinch."
The boy's eyes nearly popped out of his eye sockets. In his sensei's hands were two very important items, the Six Star DragonBall and a spare Dragon Radar! "This doohickey here can locate the other six Dragon Balls. and once you gather all 7 together you can make a wish" He explained the story behind the dragon balls. Even though he already knew this Zero looked and acted like he was hearing new information.
"Thank you, thank you sensei! I'll be sure to put these to great use." He wrapped them both in a cloth and walked out. [Alright Aurora, how long will it take me to get to the North Mountains?]
***DING***
[According to your current location it will take at least one entire month to reach the Mountains.]
***
Zero grimaced, aware that it would take some time he never thought it would be this long. With no other option, Zero left without further delay. This was going to be a long journey.
