I had been told I had obligations and responsibilities, but the nature of which I had to commit to, was never explained to me, as such I didn't know better.
The 'obligation' I had, was attending a birthday party. It was the shared birthday of Jane and Sarah. Apparently, they were born on the same day. As such, my endeavor of learning how to properly conduct myself in a situation of conflict, was cut short for the gratification of two people I hadn't seen in years.
I should have been able to ignore it, but apparently, I had received a notice from the crowns, so I had to be there. I had no choice, no good one anyway.
The importance of the event dawned on me multiple times, as I gained more information. It wasn't going to just be held anywhere, it was going to be held at the capital, inside the Shattered Palace.
