Adam didn't care much about her reply so he got right to the point. "You look like you're in a big problem right now."
"How so?"
" Well a defenseless noble girl in a cave which might have more visitors sooner or later." Adam was looking at the collapsed roof but as he said this looked straight into her eyes. " You know what I'm trying to say. So I suggest its better if you come with me back to the city right now cause I'm not fighting others for you."
Adam was sure that he won't be able to go against adventurers that have better gear and more experience than him cause he was on the same level of strength as Elira and if she couldn't go deeper into the cave it could be the same as him but he also couldn't fight against a party or stronger adventurers than him.
"What are you asking in return for helping a defense less noble like me?" Elira got straight to the point.
"Just some money as you can see I'm poor AF." Adam said as he showed her little wear and tear on his clothes which happened to be caused by branches and thorns pulling on them while he was running through the forest like a dog for the herbs.
"I can promise you that but nothing more." Elira agreed and tried to stand up with the support of the wall her back was resting on. Adam could see that she had strong thigh and abs muscles, well toned and- what he noticed was she had a strong Will. How the corrosive skin and clothes couldn't stop her and she wasn't even embarrassed how her thighs , ass ,cleavages were showing , she looked like she was literally wearing rags when she stood up. Maybe she had confidence cause of that DAMN FKN BRA that somehow wasn't damaged.
'Maybe I'm not the main character. She got plot armour maybe she is, gotta affiliate my self with her.' Adam thought.
Adam walked towards her while taking off his long coat he was wearing ( if he wasn't now he is cause I don't remember his fit) and placed it around her shoulders covering.
"Thank you." Elira said while grabbing both ends and closing it from the front. Adam also made sure to tuck her hair in the coat too.
With out wasting anymore time he picked her up like a princess and jogged his way out of the cave. He knew he could meet anyone so he didn't stick around the cave and started to walk vigilantly towards the city.
Both of them didn't speak anything and it was a awkward situation for both of them but Adam preferred it this way cause he could focus on his surroundings better than having to be distracted by a woman. Just to be clear Adam wasn't trying to act cool or mysterious and he wasn't enchanted and enjoying the faint fragrance of lavender (which is his favorite) coming from her. HE definitely wasn't.
Instead of taking the main path he traveled through the forest and nearly around 3 he reached the city where Adam hired a horse drawn coach even before they entered the city. He didn't want her to be some sort of gossip or anything but more importantly he was trying to stay low key and not get in noticed by the powers or factions that were in the city. Elira guided him to the Rich and noble section of the city which looked as if it belonged to a completely different world.
The streets were wider, there were luxurious carriages drawn by beasts, Lamps were placed on intervals along both sides of the street, men in uniforms which looked like they were private police patrolled the areas or could be seen on residences having logos of the house they belonged to ,the houses weren't houses they would be considered mansions but the place where Elira lead him was more like a bungalow.
There was a phoenix drawn on the main gate where their carriage stopped and a guard with the logo of phoenix on his chest walked towards the passenger side and when he saw Elira sitting in the carriage he quickly ordered the gate to be opened.
Entering the estate Adam couldn't believe his eyes. The front lawn was more like a garden, there was a fountain as big as house infront of the main building but the house was a totally different story....
