Alfred Scott shrunk back slightly after speaking, "Then, sis, you two should head out early and return early."
Mary Scott finally slowly withdrew her gaze.
David Locke walked toward the car with Mary Scott pushing him. Just before Alfred closed the door, David suddenly asked, "I forgot to ask you last night—since Alfred isn't the man you love most, then who is?"
"Huh?" Mary Scott couldn't grasp why David Locke would ask her something so random and stared at him in confusion.
Alfred, still standing behind them, immediately perked up his ears.
David Locke saw Mary Scott's confusion and turned around, shooting her a warning glare that seemed to say that if she dared to give an answer outside his expectations, he'd immediately give her another round of trouble.
Mary Scott was speechless and could only reluctantly nod, "It's you, okay?"
Satisfied, David Locke turned to glance smugly at Alfred Scott, his expression an obvious flaunt.
