When they arrived at the daycare, Alice was already dressed and happily ran over to them. Benjamin picked up Alice and asked, "Did you have fun here today?"
"Yes, grandma played with me for a long time, and I learned new dance moves." Alice chattered happily in Benjamin's arms.
Catherine stood aside watching, her face expressionless, but inside, she was very anxious. As soon as Alice finished speaking, Catherine quickly stepped forward, "Alice, don't always trouble Uncle, let Mom hold you."
"She's heavy, I'll hold her." Benjamin glanced at Catherine and then asked Alice, "Mommy is too tired, shall we let Mommy rest for a bit?"
"Okay." Alice agreed happily, then tilted her head to look at Catherine, "Mommy, make sure to keep up with me and Uncle!"
"Hmm." Catherine murmured in response, but inside she couldn't help but let her thoughts run wild, feeling distracted all the way back to Benjamin's villa.
