Fenrir stood before the Reaper, still clenching the large and odd scythe. Beside him stood Obsidia who's arms were still ablaze with her black flames. Zero stood behind them with the Black Wolf and his pack who was still circled around Nieo. Fenrir's low growls could be heard through the open area they stood in as he watches Wraith step out of the darkness of the forest. His aura began to leak out toward them but behind Fenrir and Obsidia they could feel an aura of serenity as if Nieo was trying to combat this monstrous aura with her own.
Zero looked back at Nieo who was knelt down on the stump facing Wraith as she had her eyes closed, then he looked back at the three. "Sister, do you feel it?"
At first she didn't say anything but she definitely could feel at ease with Nieo's aura surrounding them. "I may not be able to see it like Fenrir, but it is definitely letting me focus..."
Obsidia was ready to fight but at the same time uncertain of how the fight was going to begin. Looking over at Fenrir, she notices a small cut on his shoulder that was decaying but trying to heal itself at the same time.
The man beast of Fenrir roars then charges at Wraith, throwing the scythe at him which causes him to block it with one of his scythes leaving an opening for a split second. Fenrir leaps into the opening and punches him in the ribs, sending him crashing into several trees. Each tree began to decay, one after another until they finally turn to dust.
Wraith went to stand up but Fenrir had no plan to let up his assault as he began to pummel Wraith into the ground, punch after punch. Wraith reaches up to take a hold of him, but he sees his plan and leaps back out of the woods, landing beside Obsidia. He looks over to her for a moment then turns back and disappears into the forest. She felt as if he were saying something but she wasn't exactly sure of what it could've been.
Obsidia closes her eyes for a moment, fire beginning to surround her until it turns black. Once she focused enough of her power, she aims it at the tree line, the flames were faint which made her begin to think of that's what he was trying to tell her. As soon as that wall was formed, Fenrir leapt out of trees dragging Wraith through the Black flames, his cloak catching fire and swiftly engulfing him in flames. Fenrir throws him back down onto the ground as hard as he could, creating a small crater under the enflamed skeleton. After passing out, Wraith's black smoke covered him and and the flames, eventually putting them out and revealing the boy he once was.
Fenrir walks over to check on him, his form still that of a Lycan, unable to sense the boy's aura he finally shifts back to his wolf form and walks over to Obsidia.
"Are you sure we should just leave him?" Zero asks slightly and looks over to Fenrir.
"He's already gone..." Obsidia looks at Fenrir then rushes over to the crater to see that the boy had already disappeared.
"He is able to step into a Shadow World so I figured if he became unconscious, that world would pull him back until he recovered."
Zero and Obsidia starred blankly at him for a moment as he walks over to the stump Nieo is sitting on and collapses at the trunk.
They rush over to his side to check on him.
"Wraith must've pushed him hard." Zero looks back toward the crater then back at Fenrir.
The Black Wolf finally walks over to him and sits down.
"He used a form that I have not seen for hundreds of years..."
Zero, Obsidia, and Nieo stop and look at each other then back to the wolf.
Nieo scoots closer to him. "So you can talk?"
He nods slightly, his mouth did not move. "I cannot speak through normal means, but you three are the first, after Fenrir, to hear me speak."
Zero sits up realizing what he meant. "Wait, you've been talking to him the whole time? That explains how you were able to plan out the defense."
Nieo chimes in "If you can speak, then what do we call you?"
The wolf was silent for a moment "My brother left me and my pack to chase his own ambitions, but you may call me Hati."
The siblings look at eachother for a moment then back down to Fenrir.
"He does not know and I wish he does not find out, but he is my Father."
Obsidia scratched her head for a moment. "But he is..."
"Older than you think, Child."
Nieo nods, she was slowly remembering her abilities through the time away from the castle, remembering that one of her powers was able to see others memories. "He has lived longer than you or your brother... Almost as long as some of the gods themselves."
Fenrir still lay passed out beside them, Obsidia gently stroking his head.
"I hate watching him fight these battles by himself. I feel so useless..."
"You are stronger than you think you are." Hati walks over to Obsidia, his black fur shimmering under the moonlight. "Do not doubt yourself for it will burn you. You witnessed Rage and Fear when he rose from the shadows. That was a side he will wish to hide."
Nieo scoots over to Fenrir and gently places her hand on his back. As she was about to look back into his memories, White and Red fire begins to surround them. The ground begins to rumble below them.
"Zero.... Those flames..."
Zero was already on his feet and ready "They're close."
Hati sits down facing Fenrir "They must've heard the fight between Fenrir and that, Wraith." The fires began to grow closer to them, causing them to gather on the tree stump. Obsidia struggles to pick Fenrir up, but carefully lays him down on the stump. She then closes her eyes and forms a circle of her own fire around them to try and push back the other flames.
"I see you picked up a new trick, Obsidia, but how long can you hold it?" A girl appears standing on a tree branch ahead of them.
"If only your friend there wasn't unconscious, he would've made it more interesting."
The group looked up at her standing there.
"Hello again, Cinder. How about the two of us fight one more time." She stood there staring up at Cinder, her eyes glowing under the moonlight.
Cinder smiles, then her flames swiftly begin to engulf the forest, making sure no tree stands unburned for miles. "I want to see if you are still weaker or not."
