"Alma, you have been murmuring about the earth flipping flower for the last two hours. Yes we can use it to try and revitalize some of the desert soil around the ruined areas. We might even be able to help create small oasis within the desert to help travelers."
It wasn't odd that Alma would find the earth flipping flower and the abilities it had to mix and churn soil important. However, she was very much focused on the fact that it could be used to help mix the soil and cause refertilization. There were many areas along the desert that they all knew shouldn't be a desert.
This was something that a few of the Genesis nature based citizens wanted to work on, a decent few were elves. While the issues that caused the expansion of the desert had been solved, the recovery would still take time. With the expansion of the world, it was potentially easier to work and improve those areas.
