"Sandel,"
Sandel observed them falling, burning away in the meteors. The heat around her moved to the next room, and she walked with him. Why would he do this when he left the other time? Sandel made it to the wall, then heard his voice behind her,
"He's awake,"
"I thought as much, I let time resume, he would start making his next plan,"
It's to either kill her so he could take the kingdom or have her isolated away from stopping him, either way, he would still have a worse hurdle than her if he's able to restrain her,
"Sandel, this will be your difficult challenge, yet he won't let you take him down that easily,"
"I thought as much, i know that he will be tougher than the others,"
Sandel placed her hand on the wall, making it open for her, peering inside the room, seeing his eyes glow in the corner like a trapped animal staring at her like she was his last meal,
"Watch over the room. I'm not sure how to handle this,"
She glanced behind her at the warmth form. She saw him move his head up and down, answering her,
"You know that i will Sandel, it's time,"
His voice range out as he dissipated leaving Sandel among her beast, Sandel walks into the room having the wall close behind her, she kept her gaze on the corner, where his scanned over her, shes different from before she set them in the rooms. More corse and cold, almost like them but still had that warm ball beside her, Peter held back a scoff, stepping out of the darkness towards her,
"Something happened to you, dear. What occurred when i was frozen in time,"
Sandel didn't say only walked to him, pulling her sword from her, She lunged at him, and her sword clashed with his hand. He stopped it, staring into her eyes, she's lost something. eter pushed her away,
"She must have cast them down from the site of her, strong and composed, but inside a storm most unruly is there. Waiting for there to be one slip to let it all out,"
"Sandel, you're holding it all back to finish this, aren't you, my dear,"
Sandel halted, leaning forward when she stood up, he already saw through her. The pain the unrelenting word that surfed under her mind, he emotions fighting with her moral, her duty thats been laid upon her from her creation, protect the kingdom and listen, ordain and follow, that is what she has to do, for them to do this sending them is the right way, she knew that. But the tone in his voice, its not malice or filled with greed, counsern.
"Why ask me Peter?"
"Because i see you in distress, i don't want to fight you when you aren't at your fullest,"
They stood still only there gazes met, Peter saw the weight of it all in her gaze, he remembered the unfiltered and free angel he tought, that followed his every word and instruction, to the harden woman he sees before him, a strom that brewed behind her,
"I see the burden Sandel, what has he laid on you?"
"It wasn't him, Peter,"
Sandel rushed to him he expected at much, she swung his sord for him to catch it
"Is it your high morals?"
She disappeared, and Peter stood there exasperated. Is she doing this again? Can't they just have a normal conversation like any other couple... of friend Peter shook his head his hand stopped the sword from descending on his head, Peter looked up at her, their gaze met, Sandel glared at him and said
"No, it's what you've done Peter, it was all of your decision,"
She pulled her sword out making it break from Peters grip it feel on him, he sees it fall on his like fallen snow, Sandel moved from above him with the broken crystal started to glow, Peters observed it as it shot down at him hitting his arm cutting it in half. He seethed, moving back, having more of it fall on him at extreme feats of force. Peter moved from them, not wanting to be cut apart from it, He kept moving back when he thought,
"My arm, it's not healing,"
Peter passed by a shard, cutting him deep into his shoulder, Peter knocked back from it and let out a suttle choke,
"This anomaly,"
Peter looked to where Sandel was to see. She went to the void again, and he hummed, shaking his head, touching his nubed arm, muttering under his breath,
"This again, isn't it getting too boring for you, my dear?"
Peter reached out for his arm, and it moved. a black bundle of shadows wrapped around it, pulling it away from the falling crystals, rapidly douging it to Peter. He grabbed it from the darkness, placing it back on his arm,
"Thank you, my shadow,"
Peter had it move to behind him, hiding behind his wings. He moved his arm feeling its not quite right when he felt her power surge next to him, she swung her sword side ways to cur him in half, but Peter ducked missing him, He stood staright fixing his white long shirt glancing at her with a coe smile,
"My dear heart, you know well enough to try better than that,"
Sandel swung her sword back, making him duck again. When he stood up, he didn't see her turn her blade cutting into him. He moved away, her blade that went into his side. Peter looked at the wound sees it start to heal by his shadow blak mist formed around it, Peter hummed his gaze went to Sandel, calm and sultry, This is what he's been waiting to see, Sandel, not this missionary angel doing his work but his Sandel. The one who based off there fighting on the moment, waiting for the next.
"There you are. Why have you been hiding?"
Sandel lunged at him staring into his eyes, seeing the admiration, with longed for desires. Sandel swiped her sword, sending a line of light at him, Peter hummed scattering apart, letting the light move through him. It moved through him crashing into the wall, Peter reformed smiling at Sandel,
"You have let yourself be in this fight,"
Peter walked to her, the shadow following him, his wings showing in it. His smile never left as he opened his hand, having the mist from before appear with a knife in it,
"Now you need to bend me to my knees, to send me there?"
Messing with the knife, he moved it to test its sharp blade. he peered to her having her scathing gaze met his, he could shiver from how harsh it is, Peter flicked the knife at her Sandel blocked it with her sword striding to him, Peter kept throwing his knifes at her to mess with her, She rushed aat him missing a knife and he thought she would use her sword but she grabbed his neck caught him off. He grabbed onto her wrist eyes ever so slightly, Her grip burned his neck.
"This isn't going to help dear. It's only going to make it harder for me to knock you out,"
"I'm not doing this to please you, Peter,"
Sandel said, callously tightening her grip and pulling on his neck, Peter hummed, not bothered her, trying to pull out his throat. Just her mere touch could make him submit. Peter opened his blue eyes, grinning down at her,
"If this is what going to knock me out, i wouldn't mind. However, i must get back to what i want, dear,"
Peter went to pry her hand off, but Sandel stopped him, stabbing her sword through his chest. He lunged from the blade, piercing through his chest. He grabbed onto the sword, realizing,
"This isn't the same virtue you've had before,"
Peter grabbed her hand, pulling her hand away from the sword, his grip broke her wrist. Sandel didn't move from him breaking her wrist, but pulled the sword up, cutting towards his head, Peter morphed his body like his shadow, getting off her blade, taking a step back holding his chest,
"Not bad, you used enough to stop me from reforming,"
His body shifted back to normal, only with the hole in his chest that made it to his callor bone. He touched it, seeing his blood change. Peter snarled, this is what it has come to using her like this father, he thought clutching his hand, but he didn't realize it wasn't him. Peter steps towards her, making a knife appear again, having his arm over his shoulder glaring at her,
"He gave this to you, didn't he? Stopping time, burning angels to the point of not healing. This is what he gave you!"
He ran at her, his knife clashing with her sword. It was so powerful that it made the room walls break apart, falling around them, letting them have more room. They pushed against each other Sandel's light against his own, his white started to turn to black.
"Answer me Sandel, is this him!"
Peter pushed her away and glared at her. How could this have happened, why side with him. Peter pushed at her again, Sandel staggered, watching him run at her. She lifted her sword a head of her, breathing heavily,
"Why did he do it,"
They clashed, Peter pressed down on her having Sandel fall onto her knee, they stared into each other abbeys seeing their souls, Sandel saw Peters consumed by envy and greed, the angel that guided her, helped her mind from breaking over the presser of her duty. Is gone. hints of him appeared from talking to her, but it wasn't him. Peter saw stressed filled eyes with pain and grief dancing in her silver glowing eyes, faded memories residing to die. Sandel mustered the streangth to take her knee of the grown placing her own presser on Peter,
"Peter, it isn't him,"
She raised her head, her eyes shifting and glowing.
"This is me,"
She puts it away for her dagger,
"I've heard what you did Peter, your plan. How you would use me,"
Her sword reappear in her hands. Not like before but a new.
"I will admit i am not at my fullest, I was just resting for some time,"
