Each day, the gravitational pressure grew subtly more intense, like a tightening noose. The monks, hardened by decades of cultivating the Great Burden Sutra, endured in silence—until the silence was broken.
One afternoon, a dull thud echoed through the monastery halls.
Then another.
Lin Mu turned, eyes narrowing as he sensed the disruption. A quick surge of Immortal sense revealed the cause—three monks had collapsed in their main chambers. Their bodies trembled, pulses erratic, skin slick with sweat. The strain had finally surpassed their limits.
Without hesitation, Lin Mu rushed to them and dropped to his knees.
His hands placed on above their bodies as he began to chant.
"Embrace the Heart of Nature and bask in its benevolence. Cleanse your heart and purify all that taints the worlds.…"
His voice echoed gently, a golden glow radiating from his hands as the Healing Heart Sutra surged forth.
