And in the instant she met Index, she disappeared the same way she appeared, returning to where she came from with great curiosity rising in her mind.

In a secret laboratory that is underground Yuragi Sou. Tearju Lunatique one of the researchers in Academy City who works for Hiko, was looking into a large glass tube filled with a bluish liquid and in it was the body of a teenage girl who had long brown hair that reached her waist.
The body of that teenage girl, was a clone body she made based on data from Kazakiri Hyouka that she secretly took from Kirigaoka Girls Academy. There is a special reason why Tearju made the body of Kazakiri Hyouka using the egg cells she had plus the sperm cells belonging to her deceased husband.
It's all because Kazakiri Hyouka is an A.I made by her husband based on their daughter who died as a result of the actions of Aleister Crowley. Their daughter Hyouka has a unique power that can be used to access the Imaginary Number District, that's why Aleister wants the power from their daughter so he can have access to something he couldn't access before.
But of course, Tearju and her husband didn't want Aleister to take advantage of their daughter's power. Hence the two of them rejected the offer from Aleister.
Aleister, who already knew that Tearju and her husband would refuse his offer, ordered one of the Kiharas to secretly kill Hyouka. To make Hyouka look like she died of an illness.
Hyouka's death drives Tearju's husband crazy, and the husband wants to revive Hyouka by developing an A.I based on the algorithm of Hyouka's brain and personality. Her husband managed to create a perfect clone of Hyouka. It's just that the Hyouka A.I he created was imperfect and had absolutely no memories of the real Hyouka. The creation of A.I Kazakiri Hyouka was Aleister's goal, and after Aleister achieved what he wanted. He didn't care at all what happened to Tearju and her husband.
The failure to create a perfect clone of their daughter led Tearju's husband to commit suicide. And Tearju herself became incredibly sad because she had lost two people she loved very much.
She also almost committed suicide, until she finally met Kazakiri Hyouka at the Kirigaoka Girls Academy where she taught biology.
Tearju could feel that Kazakiri Hyouka recognized her. Plus when Tearju made eye contact with Hyouka, suddenly a series of memories that she had experienced with her daughter appeared in her head.
And from that incident Tearju felt sure that Kazakiri Hyouka kept the memories of her dead daughter, it's just that she couldn't access those memories because Kazakiri Hyouka couldn't have a rough body.
Tearju decided that she would create a human body for an A.I named Kazakiri Hyouka. It's just that Tearju understands that she doesn't have the funds or the technology to create a body for Hyouka.
That's why she asked for help from Hiko Seijuro XIII, who he believed would definitely help him. If she gives him a good reason. And now after a decade she is doing research for herself as well as having helped Hiko in various ways. Tearju managed to complete a new body for Hyouka unnoticed by anyone except Hiko who financed her research. To keep his research a secret, she doesn't even save the research data she has on the computer, she uses the old-fashioned way of storing her research data in a simple notebook in the form of a code that only she can decode.
Now all she has to do is track down Hyouka's whereabouts and then try to get Hyouka into her new body.
